This is a real Irish Pub right behind the Crown Plaza. It’s hard to access, but there is free parking out back if you can find your way down the right little alley (hint, turn in at Zoom). There’s a chap there who will open the gate and direct you to the left. The Tuesday quiz night, paired with ladies... More

My husband was not allowed to go in for wearing sandals. Sadly, the rule didn't apply to the "regular customer", said the manager herself. Obviously she doesn't care about making new ones!

Good pub - went on a Friday night for a quick drink. Nice traditional feel. Nice place but too loud for me !!! Didn't eat food but drinks are reasonable 40 AED for a lovely pint of cold Guiness

Back at Fibbers again for brunch before the family vacate for the summer and taking advantage of the various discounts on offer both from Fibbers and through Entertainer. Food as ever is excellent, but they seem to have "lost" their pork license for the time being, which is a shame. Pies and Roasts are always good. Try the breakfast if... More

While on business in Dubai, our hosts suggested this local pub for some traditional pub food and beverages. We had a great time and the food was both generous and delicious - no real surprises as it was about as typical as you would find in any UK pub right down to the mushy peas. There were about 10 beers... More

Fibbers DXB is a legend of the expatriate bar seen. Good door staff who take a lot of nonsense from drunk expatriates. Bar staff engaging and fairly on the ball for such a busy venue (Friday evening). Wouldn't visit DXB without a trip to Fibbers. Great place to socialise.

The bar doesn't need introducing. One of the oldest places in Dubai and always been the best. They also have great food. How many bars do a popular home delivery service? Fibbers do. The Sunday Lunch deal is brilliant. The recipe for the gravy is a well kept secret and should have a patent on it.

Staying in The Marina

Neighborhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
