I was expecting a civilized drink in the sky... As soon as the lift doors opened I knew that wasn't what we were going to get. Don't get me wrong the drinks were delicious but they seriously need to turn down the music a couple of decibels enabling you to hear what the person sat right next to you is... More

Our first hour in Dubai and we ate here for lunch. What a view!! A table by the window & we were able to soak up the amazing surrounds. It was really good to enjoy a delicious coffee and a lovely lunch. They even catered for our fussy 14 year old, who only felt like a bowl of hot chips!!... More

My fiancée treated me to a lunch at the Observatory for my birthday in March. It just so happened that the day we went was the wettest day in years in Dubai so the view was obscured when we first arrived. Once the weather got better through our lunch the view across the palm was superb. With regards to food,... More

Went here for the first time in about a year I used to go quite frequently. Excellent happy hour with great prices on drinks and snacks. I would definitely recommend the mojito one of the best in Dubai in my opinion. The views are outstanding. Only complaint is it does get really hot anywhere near the Windows during mid afternoon... Went there for Saturday brunch. Took forever to get any service, eventually had to go to the bar ourselves to get a drink. it was pretty much downhill from there. Zero atmosphere, average quality food (some of the food stations did not have the required implements to avail of the food on offer). Had to remove/clear our own used plates.... More

Very happy that this restaurant is within walking distance of our apartment! The brunch is classy and elegant. Food was a delight. It doesn't have the volume of some other brunches but the choice is great and everything tasted was super. Also you can pick certain dishes which are cooked to order and brought to your table. If you don't... More

My husband booked us in for an anniversary dinner and we were definitely not let down. We were booked for an early dinner so it was quiet with more people arriving later on which was perfect for us. We ordered food and drinks which arrived within 20-30 minutes. Almost all tables have an amazing view of the Marina and the... More

Staying in The Marina

Neighborhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
