Fabulous restaurant with a good variety of meal options. Location is great also being right in the textile souk and next to the creek.

The finest spot for some lunch, or a Moroccan tea, after a day at Dubai Museum, the Fort Al Fahidi which dates from the eighteenth century, and the old Souk. Bayt al Wakeel is an old and very charming building. I suspect it may have...been at one time the home or office of the Shipping Agent who dealt with the paperwork for the Dhows arriving and departing the Creek. The restaurant, which faces onto the Creek, is a pure delight. Having been refurbished inside and clearly under new management, there is now a happy and professional atmosphere and any grumpy waiters have been replaced. Although the menu is varied and caters for all tastes including children, my favourite lunchtime platter has to be the Arab Mezze, which consists of dolmades, hummus, falafel, samosa, and tabbouleh with Arab bread. This, combined with a pot of Moroccan tea, looking out over the Creek, is indeed Heaven...Our special thanks to Raza and lovely Maria, who treated us like royalty. Thank you folks - we shall return. Bayt al Wakeel Bayti Ayidan.More

Very poor experience, order came in dribs and drabs and eventually walked out after 40mins of them delivering food in stages so we could not eat together, shameful attitude by the waiter, food did look good but service was appallingMore

I dined here after shopping in the nearby souqs. The location is excellent as it's easily accessible and right on the creek, making an evening meal rather special. I think the restaurant was recently renovated as it looks better than I remember. The food was...good, plentiful, and at a affordable price. Staff were polite and quick with their service. I wasn't ignored despite coming alone as some restaurants do. Overall, I recommend it.More

We stopped here while visiting the neighbouring Souks. The location right on the creek is great. We decided to have coffee and cakes, the coffee was lukewarm and the desserts were a bit underwhelming. As was the service. It was a busy time when we...were there, the food going to other tables looked great, so we will visit again and try the food menu.More

Oh no! What have they done to my favourite restaurant in Dubai. It used to full of character, a beautifully authentic wooden floating platform overlooking the Creek. Now it is a suspended cantilevered grey platform with boring tables and dull decor like a bad works...canteen. It has been ruined. Sob! Sob!More

Having here a coffee after a nice walk in the souks is just a thrill. We didn’t know at first what the sightseeing will be, but after we steped inside we were amazed. The restaurant is right on water with a nice glass floor, you...can see the boats on the sea full with people, lots of birds flying around, it was very calming. Also, the coffee was great!More
