i read few reviews online prior to booking this restaurant, but however i was skeptical about this place since it's a special night for me. To my doubt it turned out to be a awesome place and food was better than i thought. i proposed to my wife here, simply because of the view of the fountain. i wouldn't recommend... More

My wife and I visited Mango Tree for our anniversary. The food was great, the staff were super nice, and the view of the Dubai Fountains is amazing, and really makes the dining experience special. Be sure to book a table in advance to make sure you get a decent view.

🍽•Mango Tree Laid Back Brunch•🍽 I got to attend my very first Zomato tasting session at Mango Tree. I was super excited when I found out that it was a Thai Restaurant. Being a person who had never tasted Thai cuisine before, it was surely an opportunity for me not to be missed. ~The Ambience~ Located in Level 3, Souk... More

Out with friends for Friday lunch - they made reservations at the Mango Tree. Had a nice seat on the patio overlooking the Burj, the service was great and the drinks were even better. Good and filling food with chips and salsa to start, we passed on the buffet and had la carte meals which were great, i would like... More

Great experience but it has shut down now. The cost of operating must have not been able to match the rent maybe. The restaurant was always busy but on the higher side on rates. Portions were fairly big enough for two.

Make sure you get a table on the balcony for a great view of the fountains. Be aware however that everybody tries to get the best view of the fountain which means that if you have a table right by the fountain, other guests might interrupt your dinner to stand in between the tables and take pictures/videos. The menu is... More

Stumbled upon this whilst waiting for the fountains. I timed it wrong so make sure you Google the times of shows first. Anyway I love Thai food and they cooked up red beef Curry for me and pad Thai. Absolutely divine, mains were very good better than the food in Khalifa. I'd definately go again

This place was just amazing. You have to go through the Souk Al Bahar to access the location as it's on the top floor. Be sure to reserve well in advance to ensure a terrace view of the fountains - you certainly won't be disappointed. Yes, the food is expensive but it's good - you really are paying for the... More

We (6 adults and 6 children) ate here after visiting the Burj Khalifa. We picked the restaurant for the view of the fountains and we had an outdoor terrace table which was great. The view from the table was ok but everyone stands up to watch whilst the fountain show was happening so we did the same. They served great... More

We (my wife and I) recently visited this much talked about restaurant for dinner. Having booked in advance, we were lucky to get outside seating on the terrace, especially since it was a Thursday evening and usually on weekends the place is fully booked out. I must say that the ambience was simply amazing. The views of the Burj Khalifa... More

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
