Pathetic food. Kabab are so dry. No taste. False hype created by food bloggers. Never ever recommend to anyone. Such a dissatisfaction.

So this is a famous place in Dubai. The food is good, especially for the price. It’s definitely less frills than other places in Dubai. This place has good food and has a lot of real character. The lamb Kebab Khas is the best kebab...in my opinion.More

Doesn't deserve a star as well. Went after reading reviews but seems all reviews to be fake.. Absolutely disaster.

After arriving in Dubai,we headed towards the creek and stopped at this restaurant, which we already wanted to visit last year. There are two separate restaurants, one for guys and one for families and couples. We sat down, ordered two kebab dishes and waited for...our order to arrive, which didn't take particularly long. Together with the meal we were served a good yoghurt dip, some veggies and some water. The kebabs were good and so was the rice, but I wasn't really blown away by this meal. We found the place rather dirty and sticky. We saw other people enjoying other kebabs, so we might have just chosen wrong items. In any case, I'd give it another go next time I'm in Dubai, as it seems it's rather busy and popular amongst locals.More

This is probably my favourite restaurant in dubai. Food is so good that we had to visit again during our short trip. One of the most tastiest kebabs I have ever had. No wonder this place is so popular food is so good and it’s...extremely affordable. Also the mutton marinated in yoghurt this was my first time trying and I was blown away by it. I would highly recommend this restaurant.More

We had heard so much about this restaurant one of the oldest in Dubai started by an Iranian. As is usual in Dubai we were initially served soup salad and yoghurt dip all complimentary. The soup was chicken and barley with dill, a unique taste...The starter was tandigh, which is crisp rice served with lentil gravy. This is also an unique Iranian dish not to be missed. We really enjoyed the mixed kebab platter with chicken, lamb and beef kebabs. All were very soft and melt in the mouth. There was no space left for any dessert. Not to be missed on any trip to DubaiMore

We had heard a lot about this place. It is not bad but didn't find it extraordinary. Looks like a historic restaurant with major public figures visit that place

Went to the restaurant with my wife after getting a recommendation from a friend in London. First went to the main restaurant and they said there's family friendly 3 doors down but I can see families sitting in the main restaurant. We went to the...family friendly restaurant and finally got the table after 25mins wait. Ordered kebab plate for 3 (120 dhs) waited 40 mins without getting any food or any communicationMore

OMG! That's my first reaction when I got to taste the best ever kebab I ever tasted in my whole entire life! Despite from their location, their culinary experience is a must! It's really straightforward, you just have to enter, order and eat! No dramas,...no shenanigans, no tricks but pure authentic kebab experience. It's a must try if you are here in Dubai.More

If you love the shiny, luxurious, touristy Dubai- stay where you are. But if you want real, authentic cuisine in the packed streets of old town Dubai- you should give Al Ulstad Kebap a chance. First of all, the place is easy to reach, go...to Sharaf DG Metro on Green Line and use Exit 4- walk about 300m and the Restaurant will be on your right hand side. There are two Restaurants, the Family Room comes first, followed by the main Restaurant. Me and my Wife have been in both places, I usually prefer the main Restaurant because of the quieter atmosphere. If you visit Al Ulstad for the first time, don't expect a normal restaurant- first of all it's a place where locals go, while i was there i haven't seen many tourists there. Its style is easy, the walls are packed with pictures and memoribilia. But sthe staff is friendly and helpful, credit cards are accepted and you pay at the counter with the "hughe" muscle man behind it's desk with his walkie-talkie. The food is just amazing, the kebap is to die for. Sides are available, from humus to rice. I just can't point it out enough, try the kebap. They offer single dishes as well as dishes for up to 4 persons. Prices range from 8€-15€, we have been there and had a platter for two, a side and 4 softdrinks and left the place under 25€. This place is ideal if you want to spend a nice night out, also you don't get cheated like in other Old-Town Restaurants! I can highly recommend this place. The restaurant takes care off all covid-19 precautions, sometimes there is a line on the sidewalk for waiting.More

Hi, no, we went there exactly at the same time and there were some free tables. Unless you're a big party, we were two and could sit immediately. Have fun!
