What do people think of if the words "Dubai Restaurants" are mentioned? Flash? Expensive? Inauthentic? Designer? Well yes and a lot of them are and bless them I enjoy a lot of them. But 3 Fils (roughly sixpence in English) goes cheerfully and delightfully against the grain Down in the old part of Dubai, by the sea, it doesn't accept reservations, the parking space is minimal (not a valet in sight) and it doesn't have a wine list with the prices in the bottom right hand corner running into the stratosphere - it doesn't have a wine list at all for that matter - but my goodness it has staggeringly good food, and hospitality and just an all round ambience that says to people who've had a hard week working or touristing and just want some fabulous reasonably priced seafood to wind down with, "well here we are". Cannot recommend it enough

It is laid back, chilled and has a relaxing view by the fish harbor but the most important part of 3 Fils is the food...every item on the menu is unique, crafted and prepared with love & passion. There is not 1 single dish that does not mark the palate with succulence and tastiness. I have tried dishes that I never had before such as the Charcoal or maki with foie gras or even if I did, at 3 Fils, they have a different twist such as the tuna tartar that comes with Japanese caviar served in a tin. One can go in flip flops or shoes and still feel special and welcomed. In my own definition, 3 Fils offers a formula of 3 "chilling", "savoring" and "being pampered" at definitely much more worth than a fils "cent worth"...

Once again, our beautiful daughter made an excellent suggestion - that we go to 3Fils. Five of us enjoyed the evening so much. We all ended up tasting everyone's order, as everything looked so interesting. My favourites were the Dragons that Anna and I ordered. My wife picked a winner in the Seaweed Salad too. Nothing disappointed, however, We enjoyed Tai Snapper Cervice, a Volcano (Salmon Tarayaki with Flying Fish Roe), Beef Carpaccio, corn waffles, Indo Crab Maki. Hokkaido Scallops and Salmon Ngiri. We even had Triple Cooked Chips. As we were still a little peckish and so impressed with the tastes we had samples, the beautiful one asked whether they would not make up a couple of Yokozuna for us (not on the menu) and the chef duly obliged! We shall return on our next visit to Dubai - for the excellent food, superb service and wonderful atmosphere at the water's edge. My suggestion is that one follows this example and orders a variety of plates to share. I wish someone had ordered the eel. (There was also another restaurant nearby doing excellent business and may warrant a visit too.)

We went there last evening and came away very uncomfortable because the portions were small, the quality of food generally poor but over-priced. I would definitely not recommend the Sushi - this is not a proper Japanese restaurant. The beef burgers were quite good though but again, came in small sizes. The restaurant was surprisingly busy and is highly rated by many, perhaps because it is located facing a marina. We were somewhat misled by others and went out of our way (a long way), for this one, but never again.....

3 Fils is extremely over priced for what you get in both quality and quantity. The service was very poor, there were 9 staff roaming around not doing much at all it seemed. The place wasn’t busy yet some of our order was forgotten. There was no kids menu and also no flexibility with menu options. Even sorting the bill was difficult. I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way for this one.

I had been here also before with a friend and i was impressed with the food, service especially the ambiance. However, this time it was a bit disappointing as we made sure to pleased the waitress to serve the hot dishes later on or put them as second course apparently they serve everything at the same time. We did not have any chance to enjoy the wagyu beef burger with truffle, the pasta and the chicken wings as they were cold after we tried all the cold dishes. We informed the waiter in-charge. He just told us that he will just inform the waitress who took our order and nothing happened. We ended up having cold main courses. And lastly, we have been charged extra as three different items added on the bill. We just realized it after I paid the bill. it was refunded. But please spend little time to double check the bills before presenting to prevent this happen again. I love the place and the food though.

A nice little quint joint specializing in fish Japanese style. We keep coming back on our own and with friends and family whom visit from abroad. Each dish is exquisite and fresh and all your taste buds are on fire! My favorites are all the starters including seaweed salad and the carpaccio and then the yellow tail and the cod... although the name of the restaurant might mislead you that it’s cheap, it’s not but for Dubai standards it’s fairly priced so count around 250-290 per couple for a couple of dishes...this place doesn’t serve alcohol

Went with my wife and friend who was leaving dubai based on good feedback we had heard about the place. After a bit of a drive we got there and found our way to the restaurant. Small but stylish and intimate, with plenty of outdoor seating to relax. Most of the tables were full which is always a good sign and it was early. Menus were interesting with lots of selection and interesting flavour combinations to take in. In the end we chose a selection of items for the table, which came as they were ready. All the dishes were very tasty, and a good sized portion for the price and quality. The ambiance too is just nice and relaxed and avoids being pretentious which is welcome in dubai. Service was decent too, we didn't need to wait too long for anything and the staff were well versed in the menu. All in all a nice experience in a location we wouldn't normally go. As an add on we went next door to the dessert bar after called brix. Seriously impressive desserts, made with skill and flair. All in a great night.

3 Fils Restaurant is located around the outskirts of one of the Dubai Harbours and has beautiful views of the marina and yachts docked there. It is a relatively small restaurant that I imagine can only seat around 20-30 people at one time (so it's best to book in advance). The menu prices are reasonable and all food is sourced locally and served fresh. There is sometimes a shortage of fish menu items if there hasn't been a "catch" in a while. We ordered a few small dishes to share between us and the food was absolutely beautiful, we were a bit blown away by how tasty it was. It doesn't have an alcohol license (due to it not being attached to a hotel, one of the rules in Dubai) and it unfortunately isn't on the Entertainer app however original prices are reasonable. The restaurant is clean and the service here was superb. Overall a great visit and we would visit again soon. Instagram: @journeywithuss

A nice cozy, chill restaurant with good variety. The walk to the restaurant is pleasant, they don’t accept reservation so try to go early. Their tuna arrive every Wednesday from Japan so it’s so fresh on Wednesdays and if you go in the weekend, it might be already sold out. Recommended

Amazing place from first interaction with host to my last bite! Perfectly off the beaten path and away from the crowds makes the atmosphere totally unique to what else I’ve found in Dubai. It’s a small venue so you may have to wait but they have a cute coffee shop next door to grab a tea while you are waiting. The staff was very helpful in walking me through the menu and helping me decide abs the food was simply amazing! My favorite was either the salmon carpaccio or the unagi & fois gra roll! As a bonus, they were playing awesome music as well. I kinda just wanted to hangout here all day with the staff 😊 Cant wait to go back!

This is a really great spot by the Marina in Jumeirah. We ordered tuna and volcano sushi, seaweed salad, chicken wings, wagyu burger and triple cooked chips. All of the dishes were excellent and the variety was very enjoyable. The service was very good and, at 300 dirhams including a large bottle of water, it was value for money. Well worth a visit.

This cozy restaurant is located in Jumeirah's boat harbour fishing village, a little bit hidden but often full (prepare to wait but it's SO worth it). What I love about this restaurant is that is has a completely unpretentious atmosphere, while serving exceptional cuisine, which truly takes you on a mouth watering culinary adventure. I've paid beyond ridicules prices in Dubai (nobu comes to mind) for dishes that don't come close to 3 fils. I can still taste their sushi as I am writing this - unforgettable. Their dishes are influenced by Japanese cuisine, the ingredients are fresh and flavourful, and it's simply a must try during your stay in Dubai!

For starters, we ordered the Scallops which wasn't my favorite as I prefer them fried; however, with the mandarin oranges, that crunchy bit, plus the juices from the scallops made this irresistable little sauce that just makes it super yummy. We moved on to the Wagyu + Caviar. Now that was divine and made a symphony play in my mouth. Then the real food came: Chicken Wings, Lamb Ribs, Fremantle Octopus, and the Sakura Ebi. All of which just kept on adding incredible flavors on one another in our mouths. Lastly, dessert: The African Powerhouse and the Karak Ice Cream (which came with a mini show). All in all, everything here is about small plates so you can enjoy the different flavors. This place is perfect for a romantic date or if a couple is celebrating something special. You'll be leaning on ordering more, so expect the bill to be more than what you normally pay for ;)

A great pity. the food was good and "different" but seriously better service from McDonalds and certainly cheaper! I don't mind spending if one enjoys it! Waiter was constantly in our face removing plates and filling water really pushing us to consume and get out for the next customer. Cherry on top, as soon as we finished our dessert they brought us the bill without even asking for it! Felt very unwelcome which spoilt my evening out. Complained to the manager who came up with ,.... you can only sit down for max 2hrs (considering one of the dishes took one hour to be served!) From the managers justification comments, clearly a company policy to "grab and go!"

Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighborhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.
