Carnival by Tresind is a celebration of Indian food, where Indian food comes of age to shed its erstwhile glamorous modern avatar and take leaps ahead to enter the post-modern era. Dining at Carnival is a gastronomic fiesta that pushes the boundaries of fine dining to transcend into a nostalgic culinary experience which revokes childhood memories and takes you back to your days of yore.
Carnival is one of my favourite places to go, because the food is (almost always) excellent and the dishes are clever and exciting. I always have trouble narrowing down what to order, which is a good sign, but they do the simple things as well...as they do the theatrical. Have had a couple of issues in the past with temperatures of dishes, but otherwise it's a great fun place to go.More
This is my 5th or 6th visit to Carnival by Trèsind and it never ever fails to impress me. I loved the Indian cuisine because of this restaurant. Their quality of food, presentation, themes and general ambiance set the bar high. A special thanks to...Kuldeep who continuously presents beautiful manners while taking care of us. A truly beautiful experience to be repeated it again and again.More
Hello Food Lovers, and specially Brunches scouts;
One of the worst brunches in the UAE if not the worst. The restaurant is stingy in the quantities although the serving is basic ingredients. We barely tasted anything and it was a mission to request a repeat...from every dish. Ended up ordering alacart in addition to the brunch because it was a very awkward situation with our guests. It was slow and way bad than you think.
For sure it is not recommended for a brunch and for alacart it’s over priced for the cuisine.
The food taste and the live music specifically was the best part, but many places in Dubai offer the performance specially in Indian or Asian restaurant.
This Brunch place is a big No! It’s a mistake that I would always regret.
Additional note if you have RakBank you would get a 25% off the 170 non alcoholic or 350 alcoholic, the non alcoholic includes only still water not even sparkling. And the drinks are below average.

Been here a no of times, so thought of doing a retake on some good food, good thought process, good creativity, good presentation, that contributes well to memories of good times..
A great delight for all from veggies to carnis..
Indian...food with a twist of global celebrations.
Drinks too from mocktails to cocktails, when presented, does auto drive the twinkle in the eyes and the mega teeth display smile.
Business lunch @carnivalbytresind option of Non veg or veg for Aed 89 per person incl tax for a set menu.
A modern take on Indian food and boy the starters wowed us. Our favourites from the starters were the Puli inji (Ginger prawns in pepper...and caramelized palm sugar) and the Papdi Tacos (get ready to eat the most messiest delicious Indian 🌮)
Sorbet to cleanse the pallet was surely welcome after the spicy ginger prawns but oh so delicious.
From the mains our favourite was the Fish tajinj (coconut milk based fish curry gravy). Mains were served with rice and plenty of naan and small pancake shaped dosa type bread to go with the fish. We were full and couldn’t finish off the mains.
The dessert had a banana yoghurt icecream, pieces of fig cake, besan ladoo granola with boondi crisp... representation of the fusion of Indian sweets which this restaurant has attempted to spin. Not much of Indian sweets fan but this was light and small so ate off my friends dessert too 😀. So what if I was full and couldn’t eat more - who leaves dessert 😜
Great value for money with excellent food - not the typical level of spiciness that some Indian cuisine is known for. Perfect for anyone who can handle slightly spicy and enjoy the flavors.More
Went for a weekend lunch. So loud live music and Dj of low quality. Sudden bursts of very loud faults. Ordered their tasting menu -- some nice starters with not edible main course. Staff with no smiles and never cared for any greets and feedback,...kind of arrogant right from the reception to servers. I assume because they were busy. The other Tresind is a lot better.More
Visted Carnival by Tresind for the first time and was blown away by the food. The decor and ambiance were a bit underwhelming but the food more than made up for it! Got a chance to interact with Chef Vinoo who came by the table...and it was a special experience to chat with him about the food.
Loved the innovative twists on Indian food...the flavors were quintessentially Indian but the look, feel were different...loved the "Karaage"...looked like chicken but was actually mushroom...superb.
Fantastic experience food-wise...definitely will be back.More
Table for 2 for a birthday dinner on a Wednesday night. Both opted for non-veg tasting menu.
Realised upon getting home that one of the live dishes (momos) on the menu was not served live even though the menu said it should be and we...were not offered tea from the karak bike at the end.
Figured it must be a special occasion place as literally every table had a birthday celebration which was almost embarrassing.
I found the atmosphere somewhat lacking and the ladies toilets did not smell good upon entering.
With regards to the food, none of the multiple dishes was outstanding. As a huge lover of Indian food I was reminded by most of the dishes of the taste of a mediocre takeaway. Very heavy on spice but it tasted like sauce or powder as opposed to fresh chilli.
My husband has been up all night vomiting (Happy Birthday!) though I am fine so I recommend those with a sensitive stomach do not attend.
The happy hour cocktails we ordered as an aperitiv were of an incredibly low standard, not just for Dubai.
Service was ok. Was not impressed by live servings (of just 2 dishes) which could only be described as lacklustre.
I regret booking this restaurant and will not be returning.
Price was actually ok for the location at 831 AED for 2 incl a bottle of wine and a 20% discount with ENBD but I prefer to spend 200AED on our usual takeaway in future (if I can ever convince my husband to eat Indian food again).More
