If your looking for "clean"traditional Saudi-yemeni food, then you must try Abu Zaid. No big variety in food, but very very good! I would recommend it for tourists, and visitors from outside the western region. Therese only one branch that has a family section (in Courniche).

The resturant has various locations. I ordered Masoub (banana, honey, cream and Pie dough mixed together) which can be with additions such as dates or cheese or without as you wish. I ordered foul and tameez. They are keeping a standard. Good to know local food in jeddah. I recommend to try.

I have visited this lovely resturant many times for an early morning breakfast. They serve very delicious Saudi breakfast. I like so much the Fool with olive oil in companion with the freshly baked special bread "Tameez". Your breakfast should finish by trying the delicious sweet " Masoob" with different taste of your choice. A wonderful traditional breakfast in Jeddah.

And I was interested again in the type of food that I haven't had for a while. My cousin recommended Abu Zaid. Wasn't sure if I would like to eat there or not. But... More

Great place for a Saudi breakfast, take-away or eat in. Often the only place to grab an early bite on a Saturday morning.
