James and his team made us feel so welcome from the moment we stepped into the bar. We loved the range of cocktails and the food served here. The bar is unlike anything else we have experienced in Luang Prabang and we will definitely come...back on our next visit to the city. The staff know how to make a delicious cocktail - there are a range of menu, but if you ask for something special off menu, they will happily oblige this request. Thank you so much for a lovely, fun filled evening :)More

We were staying just across the street. The first day our guide kept mentioning 525 because of their signs around town. If we follow them we would always make it back to our hotel. We had our first dinner here just the 4 of us...mostly because it was so close to our hotel. It has a very inviting atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. We spoke to I think the manager who was from Britain. Very nice guy. We sat outside thank gosh they had candles to keep the bug away if not we would have been eaten alive. There was only one other table but food and drinks still were slow. It also would have been nice if two tapa could have arrived at one time. Drink prices seemed more expensive then back home. Fair enough everything elevated to a higher standard but seriously we are in Laos. Cocktails ranged from 69,000kip (about $10.30CAD) to 139,000kip (almost $21CAD). The shared plates were much more reasonable. they ran from 19,000kip (about $2.85CAD) to 59,000 (about $8.85cad). Drinks were very tasty but not $10CAD tasty. Food was really good but nothing special. I forgot to take pictures of everything we ordered. We also left hungry but because we ordered everything that interested us.More

Got there early before the crowds and James made us feel immediately at home, even with a grandmother and two kids, and the food and cocktails were sublime. Our only regret is not visiting before the last night of the holidays...James is full of local...knowledge and works really hard at front of house, whilst involving very talented locals fully in all aspects of the bar. Fabulous menu to complement the amazing cocktails! Can’t wait to go back again and hoping everyone there is staying safe at the moment.More

Been travelling around south east Asia for three months now and this is HANDS DOWN one of the BEST places we’ve been to. 11/10 would recommend: the food is gorgeous, the staff are so lovely and the cocktails are out of this world. The Gin...Flight, their incredible selection of Negronis (cocktails) and their Patatas Bravas are high on my list of recommendations. Absolutely love it, I felt so well looked after, couldn’t thank them enough.More

We found 525 on our 1st night and also had it on my list to visit. We didn't realise how close it was to our hotel (Maison Dalabua) which was just down the road and tried a couple of their tapas dishes which were delicious,...also tried a few of their cocktails too including Ella Rose. We got talking to the manager James who was lovely and gave us some great tips for LP!! Had a few drinks there on our last night before heading to Krabi. Highly recommend! Have a review on my website as well - at shanylou. Love the Laos fusion with traditional Spanish tapas with English hospitality! James takes his time to sit and talk to each of his guests and gets to know them and make sure they have everything they need.More

We spent our evening here for the taster menu with three cocktails and a selection of their tapas. Wow! All were incredible. The cocktails were so well done and the tapas imaginative! Well done, keep it up!

Great service and cocktails. The deal is great, surprising tapas with great flavour. Very cosy music and surrounding. Coming again whenever I’m in Laos.

Tonight we visited 525 cocktails and tapas, I can honestly say that the staff and food were beyond my expectations. James and his staff were amazingly friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the Luang Prabang Experience with fabulous food and drinks.

Enjoyed our evening at 525, staff were very friendly and helpful especially when our ribs came out cold they got replaced straight away. Recieved a complimentary shot and Laos style dessert. Quite expensive for the portion sizes ended up spending 90 dollars here for a...meal for 2!More

Make sure to take a trip here if you’re in Luang Prabang!!! We only went for a drink and had to try something on the menu. Reason being is everything sounded delicious. We had the pulled pork burgers and pork ribs, both to die for,...especially the ribs, meat fell off the bone with such flavour. The out door seating area is soo relaxed, cosy & chill with great popular acoustic/jazz covers. I mentioned in conversations it was my fiancé’s birthday and the bar man came out with 3 shots a little while after 🥳 The main shout out is to Otee (hope I’m spelling that right) she was so super friendly and helpful. Gave us so much info and background to the Laos culture and food. Wasn’t just a “buy more drink chat” she stayed with us until she was finished her shift. She also chatted about different ‘off the beaten track’ tourist attractions. Can’t recommend this place or the staff enough, food, drink & customer service is a win win all round! Thanks so much for a lovely evening 😊More
