I was here for the hotel breakfast, as part of stay in adjoining accommodation. Based on the choices for cooked food available on the breakfast menu, I would recommend getting a meal here for sure. Coffee was good. (Did not have other meals here because daily breakfasts was eaten here already.)

A fusion kitchen that maintains the balance between Laotian and European, for example their own salads and the tasteful Lao pork sausage. Unfortunately, they lose their soul a little by fuming for the ketchup and hamburger and french fries-addicted Americans. A lovely rooftop restaurant where both the bar and the restaurant reach. Wonderful Margarita cocktail.

So glad we found this place - right opposite the night market food stalls. The cakes and pastries are amazing and very cheap. We actually used to buy cakes there are take them to eat at the coffee stall in the Night market square, as the coffee is even better there! The breakfast at Indigo looked fantastic btu we didn't try it ourselves

We stopped in for a beer and cocktail during the night market. Their prices are cheap and their staff is very welcoming. They have a little shop for jewelry and clothes at the back by the bathrooms. They also set up a food stall out front in the market everything looked and smelled amazing.

It's difficult to think of anything positive to say about this place. The prices for the mediocre offerings are not value for money. The young inexperienced staff are polite but don't know how to deal with custumer matters. We ordered a Duran fruit tart, which turned out to be banana and they were unable to even comprehend why this was an issue. The entire experience was very unsatisfactory. Don't bother to waste your time and money here.

Discovered this place as part of the night market, as they set up tables outside the cafe every night and sell their beautiful-looking pastries. Each night we finished our tour of the market with a stop here for some sweet treats which we brought back to our hotel to enjoy. The giant cinnamon buns are absolutely delectable, and enough for 2 people, but you might not want to share! The ginger cakes and mango cakes are also really yummy, and great with a cup of tea. The service was friendly, and we would definitely return, and maybe even give the cafe a try!

ended up in indigo by accident - dodging a downpour - but so pleased we did. Good varied menu, we had 3 different dishes, all delicious and all reasonably priced. The Indigo team were really friendly and helpful

It’s awesome! Yesterday they had baked goods in front of the cafe. They all looked extremely good. We had a donut and it was so delicious. Today we went again and had the pizza. I’ve been to Italy several times and it tasted just like an Italian pizza! Definitely one of the best ones I’ve ever had. We well go there again tonight and tomorrow because it’s just so good. Definitely recommend

This magical city hosts not just temples, street food, night markets, majestic rivers, mystical hills but also French themed houses and hotels and numerous cafes both Laotian and French themed. Yet, one of them stood out for us and perhaps our favourite and one of the best place to chill, relax, and sip your perfect cup of hot or cold organic Laotian brew. That is - Indigo Cafe, the in-house restaurant of Indigo House, a French/Laotian themed hotel right along the famous Luang Prabang Night Market. The first thing that captured our attention on our first night in the city is the beautiful, classic, elegant Blue, Grey and White French/Laotian themed style of the hotel and right on its main entrance is the Indigo Cafe which also has a rooftop deck for that Bird’s Eye view of the Luang Prabang Night market and its plaza. It was the Holiday seasons that time and it was just dazzling and glistening with decors and lights and that hooked us up not to mention that magical Christmas Trees and the pastries bake sale and fresh French Crepes it has in front of the cafe. We felt we were in Europe that time right at the heart of a Christmas Market!! The cafe is located at the front of the Indigo hotel just before the entrance to the night market and right across a huge outdoor open air plaza/dining area. Since its the Holiday seasons the surrounding area is lively, vivid, fun and decorated with Christmas lights and trees. The facade is traditional Laotian architecture with a mix of French decor and most specially noticeable are the pointed roofs and outdoor balconies on each floor of the hotel. The other thing that caught our attention to try here is their outdoor bake sale which offers tons of pastries and breads. There is also a cool French guy selling fresh Crepes on the right side of the cafe. We opted to sit outdoors just behind the bake sale corner on the left side to experience the atmosphere in front of us and immerse ourselves at the colorful views. At the same time, the weather is very cool and crisp so its perfect to sip that hot cup of coffee. I ordered some Hot Americano and Chocolate cake and my partner had some Hot Cappuccino just to chill and give us a kick after taking a late lunch by the river since were also a bit tad full. The coffee sourced is from Southern Laos and its organic and we could tell. My Americano is freshly mild roasty bitter taste espresso perfect to compliment my moist, warm Chocolate cake. The same goes for the freshly prepared Cappuccino with its perfectly balanced shot of espresso and milk foam. The coffee was placed on a cute wooden cupboard served with Golden spoons, which we really loved. We were seated on a high rise round wooden table for 2 on a white metallic high chairs and yet their quite comfortable. We enjoyed each and every moment sipping out our hot cup of coffee, tasting our moist delicious not too sweet warm Chocolate cake, chatting, and just watching the atmosphere right in front of us. Of course, we never forgot to take those lovely photos while doing so. It was this priceless moments that we really cherish as part of traveling together. But wait there’s more, the cafe has an in house White and Brown cute Chihuahua who accompanied us while having our special coffee moment!!! We forgot to take his name from the owner :=) And one more it seems the moist Chocolate cake is not enough so we ordered some fresh French Crepes just beside us - Nutella with Banana chunks to be precise and were loving it. The light, sweet, warm crepe is perfect to cap off the night. Because we enjoyed having coffee here so much we decided to come back again on the 2nd night. The difference on the 2nd night we visited is that there is no more outdoor Baking sale and no French guy selling crepes. We deduced since were back on weekdays those services were only on weekends where there are more patrons visiting. Since there are no activities in front of the place and the front tables were occupied we didn’t initially know that there was a rooftop seating area but we didn’t hesitate to sit there upon learning because we would have an impeccable Bird’s Eye view of the Night market below. The only thing this hotel doesn’t have are lifts so we have to walk up the stairs 3 floors above but its all worth it. The boutique hotel seems like a museum and each corner of the place is intricately designed with arts, murals, paintings and lots of Blue Butterflies. Not to mention this Red Velvet shiny wooden stairs we need to step up to get to the rooftop. Upon arriving at the rooftop we were greeted by this romantic, charming outdoor rooftop dining area fitted with French themed cafe and again lots of vivid, decorated lamps, mural and Blue Butterflies. The White linen covered tables and Blue/White Wooden chairs are in sync with the color motif of the cafe true to its form - simple yet classy. Then put some decorated lamps on the table with intricate mats then you have the best outdoor dining area at its finest. There is a coffee bar on the top with plenty of staff assisting you and on standby so you don’t have to go up and down the stairs anymore. That night the weather is cool and chilly so its perfect for another round of hot cuppa of coffee. This time we had a hot cup of Cappuccino and Latte and to compliment our hot drinks we decided to buy some moist, pretty French Vanilla cake and some Magnum Almond Chocolate Ice Cream bar which I was craving for because its much cheaper here than in SG. We relaxed, enjoyed and savoured our moment here and of course not forgetting to take those lovely photos and videos. Especially the picturesque view of the Luang Prabang Night market and plaza below glistening in Christmas lights and tons of activities and smiles coming from the crowd below - absolutely wonderful priceless moments and something to ponder about in our lifetime. After finishing off our yummy coffee and desert we took off in time to walk again along the night market. But wait there’s more as we went down to settle our bills we were greeted by the resident Chihuahua again which joyfully greeted us and played with us while we slowly exit our way from the premises. Of course, he must have those cute shots before we leave and glad he did!!! The price is quite affordable despite its centrally located along the night market, however, we didn’t get a chance to try their savoury meals but will surely try next time we return. Kudos to Indigo Cafe team for providing us the best cafe experience in Laos which surely did catch our hearts and attention especially that cute little Chihuahua!!! For anyone who is reading right now and is in Luang Prabang or planning to visit the city then do drop by Indigo Cafe - its not too hard to find it nor visiting it!!! One of the best cafe experience I’ve ever had in the world!! See you soon Indigo Cafe - Kob Chai!!! :=)

Good food options from east to west, great rustic environment and service with a smile at a reasonable price. Not a huge amount of salvation from the heat but nice fans dotted around the place.

The only place in Luang Prabang which could be regarded as a rooftop bar and cafe. You enjoy a graet view at the main road and the night market, the laotien drip coffee with or without ice is perfect and the happy hour with draft beer worth more than one visit.
