My friend and I settled on this restaurant for an early evening beer, and a reminisce about old, missing friends. About an hour later, we ordered a glass of wine each and asked to see the menu. We chose our meals which eventually arrived, along with another glass of wine, around 2 hours after we arrived at the place. The... More

We wanted an early dinner and stumbled upon this restaurant where we could have dinner overlooking the Mekong. The menu is pictorial and in English. We asked the waiter for recommendations and he promptly pointed at one of the more costly fish dishes. We decided not to go with any of his recommendations. In the end, we ordered the spring... Glad I did not read the poor reviews before sitting down. The service was very good, friendly and efficient server, and the food was delicious. Two meals, two rice, stir fried vegetables, a glass of wine, and a shake for $100,000 kip. Plus a beautiful sunset. The ginger chicken was great and the sour pork in banana leaves was good... More

You would expect the restaurant to be expensive because of the situation by the river but the prices are pretty much the same as in other areas. Very tasty curries and amazing shakes! The only 'but' is that they are very slow serving the food...

This restaurant has a wonderful location, right above the river, it looked clean and fresh, not terribly busy, so we sat down for lunch. We ordered steamed fresh river fish, Lao sausage, and drinks. The waiter had a bit of a giggle when we ordered, we were not sure why. After a while he brought the drinks, but after a... More

This restaurant is on a terrace overlooking the Mekong. They have a variety of delicious Lao specialties. Beer Lao is very cold. There is a full bar as well. Prices are moderate. Wifi reasonably fast. Pleasant atmosphere.

Again slow service and poor pancakes. We had heard that pancakes in Luang Prabang were good, maybe we just went to the wrong restuarant. The only plus was having riverside dining.

great location and reasonably priced food, shame they forgot to bring the rice with our meal!!! When asked where the rice was, answer was they had none LEFT, and people were still coming into the restauarant as we left. They then tried to charge for the food we hadn't eaten and overcharged on the drinks. Not very customer orientated in... More

This Place Is great the Terrace overlooking the Mekong is lovely, shady, cool and the Lao food is delicious. For an extensive menu of well prepared tasty Local food you can't go wrong. Many Local Folks I know eat there as well. The Bar is well stocked and the staff is attentive and fast. Enjoy
