Enjoyed every meal we had at Bistro Vatsene. Tried croissant w/ham & bechamel sauce, waffles, ham crepes, feta-olive-bacon baguette, pho, and eggs Benedict. Everything was so good. My favorites were croissant-ham bechamel sandwich and feta-olive-bacon baguette. High quality ingredients. Great prices (25,000-45,000 kip). Highly recommend...for breakfast. Great location and atmosphere. Friendly staff.More

We stopped by twice during our stay as we enjoyed the food so much. Really good crepes and I also recommend the potato gratin. If you want a refreshing non alcoholic drink, the rosella iced tea is a nice change.

We spontaneously stopped here for dinner one evening. What drew me in, was that it was a hot night and a sign outside said, “air conditioned”. (Make sure you go to second floor). We ordered Pad Thai, and it was delicious.

We were twice in this little bistro, we had just dessert, and they were delicious. Frech style. The lemon tart and the passion fruit mousse are amazing.

If you’re craving a gorgeous and filling salad, fresh baguettes and sumptuous desserts, this is the place. We ordered two salads, a burger, and panini. The salads were amazing. Panini was not as good as the salads. Next time we’ll order the open-faced sandwiches with...melted cheese. Also we saw the crepes being made and they looked lovely!More

Had coffee and lunch- croque monsiour was terrible. For a French themed cafe, they did not even come close to authentic for a very easy and common sandwich- YUK

I visited the bistro ban vat sene several times during my stay in Luang Prabang. My favourite breakfast is noodle soup and it was served Lao style with lots of greenery like lettuce, beens chillies, etc. I finished my breakfast with a Lao coffee which...was served in a small coffee pot. The service was very good and very friendlyMore

Although we have been to LP a few times for some reaon missed this restaurant on our walks along main street, so we were happy to spot it this time. I decided on the Duck with rice which came beautifully presented and also came with...a tasty bowl of consomme. My husband had been unwell that day and just had a plain rice dish. Feeling better the folowing day we went back again in the evening, we both has the Pad Thai Gai again nice presentation and the bowl of consomme. Our hotel was right at the other end if the town but a stroll back helped the digestion, but well worth the walk. Prices very reasonable and friendly attentive staffMore
