We went here a little later in the evening and ordered the Chicken Laab and Buffalo stir fry. These were both delicious meals and our introduction to food in Laos. The staff were friendly but we waited a long time for our drinks and meals and the restaurant did not appear too busy. The food was definitely worth the wait... More

I have been sitting at this restaurant (yes, I am here still waiting for my food!!!) for over an hour and a half and my meal still has not come. Unless you have a spare few hours, I recommend to choose somewhere else to eat!

Apart from the beautiful surroundings the evening was a letdown. We were recommended to visit here but were extremely disappointed that we had to wait for nearly 2 hours to get our food. The actual service was ok but slow food which was nothing to rave about. 2 of us had the water buffalo burger which was dry and hard... More

This place was such a nice surprise. The Laos BBQ was so fun (you cook it yourself at the table) and it was really tasty! What I loved most was their dedication to creating better lives for their staff and the people of Laos. The menu is full of tips and reminders for your trip in Laos. The coolest part,... More

This is a fun place - attracts backpackers, LGBT and young mixed crowd working locally. There is always a cosmopolitan feel here and all are welcome. Friendly staff and BeerLao must rank amongst the world's best. Everyone seems welcome here is a town that is quite restrictive - closes around 11.30 as all places must. good atmosphere,

THEY HAVE NO CHANGE. my friend tried paying with a 100,000 kip bill after they... More

First of all, if you have ever tried Thai BBQ (all-you-can-eat Mookata, lots of meat choices, seafood, ice cream, for around 5 USD per person), you are going to be disappointed by the Lao BBQ they offer in this restaurant. We had the extralarge BBQ for 2 people (95'000kip), with buffalo and pork, which was barely enough. Also, some of... More

Food was average, half of the menu was not available, wrong food arrived at first, staff had no change and had to get some from another place... On top of that, I had quite a few stomach issues afterwards... There are many other restaurants around that area and I strongly recommend you try one of the others.

Very enjoyable lunch though service slow. It was only our second day so maybe we needed time to slow down ourselves. Staff very friendly.

Stopped here for late night drink and dessert. They brought us a compliment lichee shots with Lao whiskey - that was nice. The French toast (!!!) we had was very good and of generous portion. Prices were reasonable Can't go wrong with Lao Beer. It sits on a terraced garden outdoors. Quite a fun ambiance. When we go to Luang... More
