For less than 20,000 kyats you‘ll get a full lunch or dinner with appetizers, a full plate of greens and vegetables complimentary to your curry or local main course, as well as a delicious dessert with finger food on the house. You should try the fresh juices (ask them to disregard the straw). We enjoyed the ambience. The restaurant is not air conditioned on the ground floor (aircon room upstairs), but a fresh breeze cools you right down due to the open facades and windows. Surrounded by green plants that shield you from the noise and distractions from the always busy surroundings. I hope to be able to return some day.

The restaurant is quite large and on two floors. The menu includes meat, fish, prawn and vegetable dishes. Once you order, you will be served a selection of small side dishes which include spicy and non-spicy ones to accompany the main dish, along with a couple of dips you can try with the raw carrot and cucumber sticks, lettuce, baby eggplant and okra. The waiter will offer you steamed rice and top up as often as you want. We also asked for a cup of green tea which was free along with a plate including fresh peanuts and a mixture of nuts and dried beans and a pot with a type of tiny sweet rice balls. The service is very good and the toilets very clean. We ordered mutton in gravy, tamarind leaf salad, vegetable and potato stew. The whole meal, including a large bottle of water, came to 15 Kyats.

Our driver advised us to try this place and we sure did not regret it! The food is tasty, in big quantities and very reasonable prices( less expensive than other Mandalay go-to restaurants). For every dish you order you get several side dishes and a soup, all very tasty. I highly recommend to try the entrances as they are to die for!! And go nuts on the juices, they are fresh and safe! To top it off, service is very friendly and fast. A must try!

Delicious food served promptly, clean environment. Staff can be a bit messy at times but they genuinely care about customers. Costs approximately two or even three times more than a "local restaurant for local people" but it tastes excellent and it's good/clean food: so not a tourist trap - just a fine spot where even those not used to eat street food can consume their meal with confidence.

After reading the large number of positive reviews on this restaurant, we decided to try it out during stay in Mandalay. The service was good and the menu had several options we could choose from. The food served is local Myanmar food. Given only tourists were dining there, we felt the prices were also reflective of this. However, a large number of free sides were served which we felt were more delicious than the mains we ordered. Overall, a good restaurant for local food, but nothing spectacular.

This is slightly more expensive than what i would normally choose but omg - it was more than worth it! Great welcoming staff, clean place, very good service and the food.... I was speechless! It was soooo delicious! We were 2, ordered 2 main courses and obergine salad with 2 deserts and 2 dragon fruit juices. We paid about 24000ks but it i would pay even more how good the food and service were! (previously we were eating with locals for 4000ks together, so this was a whole new experience). They give u soup for free, about 6 bowls with side dishes (which if u finish one of them, they immediately re-fill). Unlimited rice and 2 big bowls (free after meal) with some nuts and sweet rice bowls. If we had known this was coming, we wouldn't have ordered 2 deserts because we were already so full :) you can pay by card (i paid with my revolut master card) , so good if you want to treat yourself before leaving mandalay and u don't have enough cash anymore. Definitely recommend!!!

Had dinner here with my extended family and everyone found something that was right for them. Prices that may seem higher by local standards are still very affordable by international standards. As you would expect the clientele is mostly tourist and expat but there were some locals as well (good sign..). Really enjoyed all the homemade condiments that they placed in the middle of the table for us to share during the meal.

U order a main course and it comes with rice, salad and 4 side dishes. Be warned, the curry dips are spicy. We loved it. The portions are generous. All that food I am showing on my photos, with beer and milk tea cost us no more than 25000kyats!! Awesome value for money. Very well trained and attentive staff. Not all speak good English but they will someone who can to explain if you need clarifications on price or the menu. The tea salad after meal is served free. And I must say it is te best I have tasted. You should also take their word on the best seller Mandalay sweet desserts. Or if you want, just pop by the dessert stalls, point and choose whatever looks good. Everything that we tried was so good, we ended up eating there back to back nights. Easy to call Grab Thon Banes (tuks tuks) to and fro our hotel.

Wholesome and authentic Myanmar food served with pride. Very attentive staff. I ordered a side dish of mixed vegetables as I didn’t appreciate my main came with all that is shown in the attached photo. Complimentary deserts too of tea leaf salad and garlic sesame and nuts etc. My overall bill including two large Mandalay strong beers was about GBP7

We visited here at the suggestion of our TukTuk driver, he had given reliable advice all day so we took this one and glad we did. The restaurant has attractive decor is clean and the staff are very friendly. We tried the pancake appetisers, the butterfish curry and the farmer cheese and bean curry. This all came with rice and loads of side dishes which we tried but couldn’t finish. Similarly there were free dessert options. With a Myanmar beer to share the bill was 18,000MMK which was the same as we paid at other much less tasty tourist restaurants. Plenty of choice on the menu. Recommended

We planned to have small and light dinner. But it was impossible in this restaurant. Although we ordered only small starter and one main dish we received a lot of side dishes and dessert! We were full, but couldn't stop eating. Everything was so yummy and when waiter noticed that bowl was empty, he delivered new one! Really, you shouldn't come there if you're not deadly hungry!

Everything was superb! From the service to the food to the look, we were more than satisfied. Some locals recommended us to come, so we had no expectations what so ever, but boy did they impress us !! The waiters knew every single ingredients we asked about, the portions were generous and flavorful. A great restaurant to discover local Burmese food, we strongly recommend! Thank you so much Thar Htet Aung for the great service!

Restaurant was full - appeared to be almost 100% foreigners. Food was mediocre and main course portions were small - although tasty. Lots of side dishes which helped and they gave us a free tasty rice and brown sugar dessert. Service was not great - had difficulty getting attention when we wanted something and it took them about 20 minutes to come tell me that my order was not available any more. Overall, I would go back if someone wanted to go but we found better options but it was ok at best.

Delicious Burmese food, every curry comes with several side dishes, salads and soup. It's vegan and vegetarian friendly, prices are quite reasonable, the atmosphere is unique and the tamarind sweets they offer as a complimentary dessert - a treat. After trying several other restaurants in town, I think this is the best choice. The staff is so nice and efficient, they deserve their own stars.

Cross between Thai and Indian food. Samosas were the BEST I’ve ever had! Red curry with shrimp was ok. ( I only got two shrimp. But then again, it was only $5.00) Get the green curry and add chicken! Very, very delicious. Service was also very good.
