If this were a burger bar in London I would rate it as very average - in Myanmar it is probably as good as you will get. We had passable burgers and pizza. Cocktails are good, food average but the staff (as is typical in Myanmar) are so eager to please. A good antidote to more Asian curry. Close to... More

Despite the varied reviews on Tripadvisor, we chose to come to Cafe City as it was near our hotel. Our experience was enjoyable. The menu is mostly western style but what we found positive was that there were many locals having their meal at Cafe City. We like going to places where the locals eat. When we were there, the... In the city heat we had to cool down in the of July, and this cafe is definitely a cooling opportunity. It is not a cheap place, but we couldn't taste or sort of feel quality related to the price level. In example a 'cheese cake' was around $6,5 - and I guess the staff from time to time found... More

I love coming here when I want a break from Myanmar food. They have a great fish and chips, burgers and fries and anything else "foreign" ..... Atmosphere is pretty nice, reminds me of an applebee's back in the U.S.

We ordered a ceasar salad, salmon steak and burger with cheese. The ceasar salad was very strange and did not taste nice at all. It had cheap mayonaise, olives and broken cheese slices. The next experience we will never forget. The salmon my friend had ordered was completely undercooked, we notified the staff and they re-cooked it however she was... More

There isn't a big parking lot. Restaurant is long narrow type. They sell mostly European food, but you can order like noodle. And very noisy.

Sort of an old American style cafe, great food, great staff. In a city with limited options and uninspiring cuisine, this place is strongly recommended for those seeking a pizza, burger, steak or cold beer.

We had a simple lunch here on the first day of our Mandalay trip. We were taken here by our guide but we're very happy with his choice. There weren't many other tourists there, the clientele were mainly wealthy locals. There was a good choice of international and Burmese food, beer, wine etc.

Good to have european food over a bottle of beer. Quiet and ideally located opp to the King's palace facing the lake.

Description
A short walk from Red Canal Hotel but take a torch as limited street lighting. A great bistro style restaurant serving a large range if European (Try the Beef steak or fish and chips) and Asian food, main courses K5000 – K7000. A good selection of French and Australian wine starting from K12,500 per bottle. Fun atmosphere with fast friendly service. Busy on the nights we were there with mainly a younger local crowd so get there early for a table.
