i had dinner here, i loved the food, the atmosphere and the service. lonely planet made a very good review of this place so i had big expectations. i don't mean they don't deserve it, i just think it was good, but not very special.

Food was really exceptional. We ordered too much as we wanted to try everything. It really is as it describes that it is local food but done with the same western standards of cleanliness and service. They had an extensive Thai menu too but we only stuck to the Myanmar dishes. It was a very extensive menu. I would give... More

We felt that it was a bit expensive, but the mango pork curry was tasty. We ate early evening in the garden lit with lanterns which was very pretty but overall found it an average place.

Classic Myanmar cuisine served by friendly staff. We dined in for lunch while on a two day trip to Mandalay. Within our day of busy sight-seeing, this restaurant provided a nice escape and cool place to relax. I'd definitely go back!

Fantastic setting just off the road and with some large bamboo plants and hanging lanterns. The food was tasty and well priced for the experience, about 9000 Kyat for a meal compared to 4000 for a more local place. The staff were always attentive and complimentary starters a bonus. Recommend this if you are going to the Mandalay Marionettss which... More

The food is moderately decent, nothing special at all. They are desperately trying to be fine dining with Burmese food but miss the mark. The ambience is very nice, and I do appreciate the effort, but overall it seemed a terrible value for the money.

Not like explained in Lonely Planet, perhaps their concept changed. We got a menu with 60 dishes which were all high priced for Myanmar. Recommend going somewhere else

Pork Curry with Mango Pickle. We went to Green Elephant, primarily for the LP stating they had this dish. It sounded interesting, so we thought to give it a try. Now it is a little more expensive than most Myanmar food, but the setting was nice and the food itself was very tasty! The Pork Curry was the best curry... More

One of the few places open, they provided a great retreat from the onslaught of water of the streets. Food was super tasty, it was definitely a little pricey but considering the circumstances it was more than fine!

Pad Thai, a simple standard food from Thailand that is next door to Myanmar, was served with a ...pancake on too and reeking garlic smell. This is NOT what Pad Thai is supposed to be, When we returned it and asked for something else, we were told that it would take half an hour. Adding insult to injury, they tried... More
