I wish I could give it more stars but unfortunately I cannot. This is not because the restaurant looks like that, but because of their customer service. What a pity , for such a nice location. I was so excited to stop here for lunch...before a long train trip ahead. We placed our order two hours before our departure so that we could enjoy our last time by the Danube. This restaurant is within minutes walking from the train station as well as the port. Sadly, we had to wait more than 1.5 hours till our order arrived. We were looking around wondering how come our food did not come nor anyone came to check on us. A gentlemen got mad and left and the waiters were just standing there saying nothing, just watching over the patio and chatting. What a shame considering the prices are quite high and the service very poor. I have noticed all this time other tables having no food there either. Finally a waiter came to our table saying that they had some troubles with the order and it takes about 15-20 more minutes. Really? I was wondering if we would ever get to eat before we had to leave. Finally the food came and what a disappointment! It looked good, but the pork meat was not properly cooked and it was bloody in the middle. The waiter agreed that it was not cooked properly indeed, but did nothing about that. Normally, I should have not been charged full price since my food was only half eatable. I was so disgusted and I would not recommend it to anyone thinking to eat there. It’s beautiful and attractive on the outside but ugly on the inside. So sad, La Liman, so sad!More

after a business meeting we went again to this restaurant, based on our older experiences we had a lunch for six people, we found the table we were looking for, and we ordered the service was very good and in short time we tasted the...very good soup named storceag or some specific starters - pike caviar, eg of course, we has a second dish, choosing different type of fish, bream, carp, perch the food was every time very good, this time the difference versus our previous visit was the service - a fast one it is the best option I know in TulceaMore

We were 2 families with little kids and we went there to have coffee at 3.30pm. We asked the lady who served us if the we could reserve a table for the night. She told us the restaurant would have closed at 7pm but we...could have dinner if coming at 6pm. We were there at 6pm but the same lady told us that the kitchen was closed and we could only order 2 quick plates! Unbelievable!! If I were the owner I would teach my employees how to deal with customers. Such a service is not acceptable! We went to Old times pub and we received a very kind reception!More

Amazing food. Big portions. Good prices. Great service! I did not expect this. I recommend the fish soup, which is served as is the custom locally - first the fish and then the soup itself.

We’ve had a great lunch here at La Limanu and we enjoyed every second of being in such a cozy place. The fish was perfectly cooked, chicken was lovely and the garlic simply amazing. The deserts came to fill in this amazing experience, perfectly balanced...and cooked just right. The place was very clean and tidy, the staff was polite, friendly and helpful, always wearing masks although there were 30 degrees outside, the ambiance was relaxing and inviting with low volume good quality music, simple and tasteful decor and a great attention to detail. Serving was irreproachable, more people like Anton are needed in this industry. Compliments to the chef, manager and owner.More

I sat down to bring me something to drink for 20 minutes and I refused to eat, believing that it would come just as "quickly". At the same time, the staff is very arrogant and mischievous.

The traditional food and fish based food are very good, but the service was poor. The waiter didint come until we told her to bring some menus, and maybe she had a bad day but it was like everytime we asked for something we were...disturbing her.More

Very good local restaurant in Tulcea, traditional food from Dobrogea (an area in Romania near Black Sea, where Danube Delta is). If you pass by this is the place to eat. Try “Storceag de sturion”. 👍

Dear travel readers, My two experiences from the "La Liman" was extraordinary: peacefull, great music, relaxing and with a beautiful view in the morning when the sunshines where bathing the terace. Also, the interior place is great with relaxing evening ambience and local traditional touches....In terms of food, I have really enjoyed the grilled sturgeon, pike eggs, fishing plăteau, and flounder. The staff also have recommended fresh food and great desert. Finally, it is indeed a great place to visit with friends, collegues, family, etc...More

Been there for a business lunch in mid November 2019 at the recommendation of a local. The restaurant is nicely decorated Delta style, very clean and well maintained. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive to our needs, which worked very well for us since...we were short on time. All food was delicious for everybody. I had fisherman platter, fish borscht and zander with potatoes. Thank you!!!More
