Tipografia - coffee nook & cultural hub, located in the old center of the town, at the crossroad between Diaconu Coresi and Postavarului streets, is a cozy place where you can spend the first half of the day socializing over breakfast and coffee, or you can bring your laptop for a quiet work session. In the evening you can enjoy events including book releases, product tastings, art house film projections, live music concerts (rock, blues, soul, jazz, funk or classical music). Tipografia also hosts meetings with local and national notable figures, theatrical productions, parties, exhibitions, performances, press conferences, poetry readings etc.

Delicious breakfast and matcha limo and chemex coffee

Everything was delicious. I took the tomatoes and mozarella bruschettes and my husband ordered the salted breakfast. Both were more than enough and very fresh amd tasty. The bread was warm and the mozarella very tasty. We both loved our food. I have tried matcha for the first time, and given the fact that i chose the one with lemonade, it tasted also like lemon but also it has a very subtile nice taste. It comes with separate honey if needed. I highly recommend this place if in need of somewhere nice to eat and drink coffee or tea.

Come In Out of the Cold

Tipografia is quirky and cozy, a fun place to come on in out of the cold and have a delicious hot cappuccino (or cold beer if that’s your thing)! Its rustic interior is a good backdrop for the edgy art. The food menu has many options. Salads are huge and fresh and the homemade dressing makes all the difference. Step from the center of Old City.

A Tranquil Oasis of Delight

This place is truly a cozy and beautiful haven. The menus caught my eye with their thoughtful design, and the calming music set the perfect ambiance—never too loud. Impeccable cleanliness and a genuinely polite waiter added to the positive experience. The hot white chocolate was a delicious highlight, complemented by a variety of enticing teas. I highly recommend this spot for couples or anyone in search of a warm, quiet place to unwind.

Slow, expensive, unattentive

Despite having nothing cooked (not even eggs), the service was extremely slow while the location was at 20-25% capacity. For the sandwich I had to wait while everyone finished their coffee... When the plate arrived no ustensila were provided, although the plate came with cut carrots, olives, micro plants and a slice of tomatoes... Like how am I supposed to eat those if not with a fork? Expensive and below average experience for someone who is not here for the coffee maybe...

We are happy for you that that you were lucky to find a place in our little cafe and you enjoyed one of our sandwiches which are made only on order, not in advance, that is why sometimes it takes a while to be served. Usually the sandwiches are eaten by hand, anyway, we provide ”ustensila” if asked. Hope you have a better experience next time.

This is the place to drop in and experience the new but impressive craft beers of Transylvania. Ask the server/barkeep for one of the ones that is not available elsewhere in Brasov, and for their detailed and intelligent recommendations. A great place filled with the happy chatter of satisfied customers.

Tipografia - a must visit cafe bar stop in Braşov!

Writing this view in my best typographical text! We liked this place very much. Slightly off the beaten track and popular with locals which is always a good sign. Cool, stylish place, great music, extensive menu cafe menu. Welcome and friendly staff. Great breakfast and lunch stop (we did both and were only in Braşov for two days). We could peruse the wonderfully-illustrated menus for hours!

Great coffee, good atmosphere and affordable prices. The employees welcomed us with a smile and over all good vibe. The menus are beautiful and not short of options. Our order came in a short time and we weren't disappointed. Certainly an amazing coffee shop.

Nice place to sit back and enjoy the surroundings

My daughter and I thought we would like to try a number of different restaurants/coffee houses when in Brasov. We liked Tipografia so much, we made a return visit. We had drinks and the Tipo Platter, which was enough for the two of us. The atmosphere is relaxed and the location is off of the busy square. We also enjoyed the music, the playlist was great.

Best coffee in Brașov

Extremely good Latte. The atmosphere was great, relaxing and the barista was really polite. Really like the design of the coffee shop. Great prices. Gonna come back for this little pearl from the city center.

A “must go to” place in the old town of Brasov!

Went there two times. In the evening for beer (they have a nice variety of beers and drinks, including craft and local beers) and tea and in the morning for coffee and breakfast. The staff was super friendly and the place is cozy, situated in the old town. Everything was great! Would definitely come back again and I can recommend it to anyone looking for a place to enjoy good vibes where you can also read a book or work on your projects!
