I went to this restaurant via a recommendation from a friend while visiting BV. I love it so much that one weekend I whent specifically to BV (from Bucharest) to just eat there.
I love the traditional selection of traditional foods, the receipes are original,...traditional and are cooked in the specific way these were cooked in the past.
I never had my order delayed and even if it would have been the case I would not bother as it is a joy to be on the terrace nowadays also the food is cooked on the spot (not refrigerated) so I would rather wait :)
We had the smoked mushroom soup, rooster borsh, pork ribs and french fries, tochitura, papanasi (Romanian dumplings with jam and sourcream) all these accompanied by the most finest, home made Afinata (please try it), you can really taste the blueberrys! I have a deep appreciation for this restaurant as products like pickles, jam and specific traditonal drinks (afinata, visinata, etc) are in house made.
The interior of the restaurant is eye capturing and the traditional music really makes you wanna learn the Romanian specific dances.
The staff was very kind and friendly 👏! I cannot wait to return and try other mouth watering dishes!
P.S. Please try the home made bread, it was fluffy, tasty and warm ♥️More
The staff was ok and food was decent.
Mid range prices, some work needed on details.
We had a steak which was requested mid and was done so but the side dish was cold.
My wife's Chicken was ok, maybe a little spicy.
This restaurant was very bad. We waited 1 h 30 for a snitzel. The snitzel was very bad and cold like the soup who was very bad. After when we wanted the bill, the waiter put a desert on the bill that we don’t serve...it. Very very bad!!!!More
Not what we were expecting...nice soup but the main course was poor and overcooked, the fries were oily the bread old...but the waitress saved the day :)
I know u can do better guys, so please do.
The waiter was very nice and helpful, but the food was average or less. We had pork ribs with boild potatoes and “carne la garnita” with mashed potatoes. The meat had no taste, no smokeyness, just a regular pork mear and the ribs were unseasoned,...not tender.More
Me and my girlfriend came there expecting to eat some good traditional Romanian food. The waiter had his head somewhere else and he seemed confused when i asked for a suggestion (what garnish should i choose with the meat). She ordered "ciulama" which was very...good and i ordered pork sausages (which is actually one single sausage) and i asked for baked potatoes for sides and i got boiled ones instead. Also the overall quality of my meal was sub par.More
I am surprised that this place has negative feedback. This is the second time we had dinner at this place. As the first time, the food was great, we waited about 15 mins for the food to arrive while the restaurant was full ! The...prices are decent for old town Brasov, the ambience is very pleasant, and the service is great. Viorica the waiter was very nice to us and to the rest of the customers. Will definitely return !!More
The bored host, with his head in the clouds, was probably thinking about what to do after the program. There is no way the food is prepared, but it also misleads you, the oven or grill are identical. Extraordinary slow service, the food comes almost...cold, I think it is cooked in a yard outside in the cold at 0 degrees. Our guest was the poor man on his worst day, confusing orders at most tables. He did not want to give us a drink at all, we asked him to come to 1L and he brought us to 0.5, twice saying that he paid. The only sweet hole was that one from the dessert plate. Thank you! We will not come to you again if you honor us. Farewell! I give two stars because I have the broken display on the phone and there is no star.More
