Very good food served impeccably in a renovated location. Employees really know how to take care of the customer. And above all the best and cold draft beer in town.

Table of 5 with big enough order. I ordered chicken skewers and realised that the chicken was raw. Sent it back to the kitchen and then been asked how I want to proceed. I've obviously said that I don't want to continue eating as everyone...else was almost finished and quite frankly the raw chicken turned my stomach. We asked for the bill and have been appalled by the fact that the item was on the bill!! Considering I only had a bit of it and then returned it. Absolutely unacceptable. When they have been confronted about it we've been told that there's nothing that can be done about it and the meal would have to come out of the waitresses wage if we would've wanted the money back for it.. absolutely despicable and unacceptable.More

The beer was warm. The food was cold. Things missing from the plate because they ran out of stuff. All 6 of us were displeased.

I have waited more than an hour for 4 "mici" for take away. 2 months ago when I dined with my family we took some pork meat menu. The meat was dry and tasteless. The only spices that they probably used were salt and pepper...(bearly sensed them). It's a pity for the nice design of the restaurant. Oh, and the payment by card was not working...once again. Reason? "We're renovating"... Pathetic. Attitude of waitress was also disrespectful. Never gonna put my step there unless they make some major changes.More

We hardly entered expecting fine dining, but we still found Beraria Ciucas really poor. The staff, in particular, were really poor. We came as quite a large group, and we moved to put tables together (and bear in mind that half the room was empty...at this point, and we were a group of about 12 for which there don’t tend to be any normal tables) and the waitress was furious. After initially insisting that we sit in separate (and not especially close together) tables of four, we said that we weren’t going to do that and that the alternative was us leaving. At this point, and after consulting a colleague, the waitress eventually acquiesced (after continuing to argue) to us sitting together, although she henceforth remained sullen throughout the night and we were made to feel as if we had been done a favour by being allowed to sit together and pay for our food. Added to this, the service - when it finally came - was incredibly slow, and the food really wasn’t particularly nice at all. I regret coming here, and I would dissuade others from doing so for anything other than beer (as, to be fair, it did have a nice beer hall-esque atmosphere outside, and would probably be a nice place for a few drinks with friends).More

Had dinner with friends and everything was top. Food, drinks and the service provided by Liliana made our night. Thank you!

I ate four mici(traditional romanian food: mixed meat pork and beef) and french fries. The portion was enough because the mici were very long. The service is good and polite. This place must be visited if you wanna try some traditional romanian food and others.

A very nice place, reminiscent of a German-style beer garden with traditional Romanian food. Their specialty is the extra-large mici.

Food is cheap here and good, but the dishes are dirty here... The waiters are not politely. Overall if you are short on cash this is a good place

We had lunch here yesterday. Although it was clear we were there for lunch, the waiter did not warn us it would take forever to get our food...he only sort of mumbled something abiut 'long waiting time' after he took our orders. It turned out...we had to wait 1.5hs to actually get our food. In the mean time he had ignored my request to at least bring the soups (which I assumed -and he confirmed it- were already cooked in the kitchen). When my husband went to toilet, he understood the reason behind the delay: the restaurant was hosting a wedding party inside, while at the same time catering for customers who had nothing to do with the wedding, so basically the kitchen was severely understaffed and suffering from a serious backlog in meeting orders. Also, part of the restaurant was under construction so that added to the stress: noise, workers, etc. It looked like a business determined to stay open and operate at full speed just to make a quick buck, with no regard to customer care. My dayghter locked herself in the toilet, could not come out, someone from the staff helped her out and as a result, the booth which she'd used was declared out of order as the door's locking mechanism was faulty. Hence, from that moment on, they had only one women's toilet room available, for the entire restaurant. The queue to use the toilet reached the terrace. Hygene was on the low side too: toilet seat soiled, washing basin dirty, paper towels missing... it was really a circus. As for the food: I am Romanian myself, I can say the food we had (beef soup, schnitzel and chicken, with cabbage salad and fries) was good but nothing more than that. However, the very low quality of service left a very bitter taste of the entire experience.More
