The food was great and the wine was better. It is not a large eatery but the food selection was more than adequate. Two of us had the goulash soup which was more than adequate in proportion size to be a stand alone meal. One had the duck leg and one had the schnitzel and one had another item from the main course option. Everyone loved the food. The wine steward would not let me pick a wine until I had ordered so that he could pair the wine with my choices. His selections were spot on and were fantastic. So, I had wine for dessert and everyone else had some fantastic deserts. We were all well satisfied.

First of all thanks to Emily for her kindness. I wanted to have a glass of wine, he brought two bottles of very good reds to taste, in the end I took both.
The food is definitely above quality, well made and tasty goulash, mixed cheese plate and an exception of ribs.

Fabulous Wine Bar with fresh, delicious food. Stopped-in Saturday afternoon to sit and enjoy a glass of wine while looking at Mt. Tampa. This is lovely spot just off the main tourist street and crowds. I enjoyed a wonderful local red wine (owner's suggestion based on our wine conversation and spot-on) and a hot, fresh, delicious creamy cauliflower soup. While I did not sample the bread basket the croutons that accompanied the soup were lightly flavoured and chewy adding a nice texture and additional flavour to each mouthful. Waitstaff is relaxed, attentive and pleasant as I never felt rushed even as it started to fill-up I highly recommend.

Food to die for! Great offerings of non meat options. We had the lentil loaf with salad. The food melted in our mouths and we savoured every last bite. We have been hiking for 3 weeks and this food was like manna from heaven. The service was very good and they explained things and chatted with us making this a great experience.

We were told about the historic importance of this restaurant. We stopped by for lunch, but they were closed and only served dinner. The owner/chef saw us looking in the window and invited us in and served us a private lunch. It was really special. Great food. I would definitely try for dinner (when they are open).

We popped in here to avoid some dodgy weather and left a few hours later! It was mid afternoon so we only had wine and nibbles, both very well recommended by the owner. Romanian red wine is very, very good - at least the 2 we had here were - and this is a really nice place to try some. We could have stayed much longer, but had a dinner reservation. The food we did try, and also see others eating, looked equally as good as the wine, but we didn't get past the cheese board. Next time we're in Brasov, we'll give the menu a tryout.

I consider that a good restaurant is the one you continue to visit after at least one year since it was opened. We all know the hype at launch and how, unfortunately, the quality of service decreases during time. But this is not the case of Pilvax, they remained on top for me after almost 6 years. Cozy, good food, good wines, friendly staff. Recommended.

We came here two years ago and really enjoyed the food and the talk with the owner. We came now again and found everything was as good as we remembered. The Arman and Gulyas soups are to remember. Beef at the second course was tender and tasty. But desserts are simply exquisite, both in presentation and taste. The pear with gorgonzola icecream and and rosehip sauce tasted so good and looked so nice. For those who like food out of the mainstream, this is the place to visit!

Hungarian restaurant in Brașov that serves tasty food in a simple relaxing atmosphere. I had chicken paprikash with spaetzle, and my friend had the sausage with potatoes. Chicken was tender, in a well seasoned paprika sauce. The sausage was smoky flavored delicious tasting. Host was friendly. I would recommend eating here.

Very welcoming place, friendly staff. In the menu there is a mushroom risotto on the list but it was made with barley...risotto assumes rice in my opinion but not being an Italian lacale we consider it a variant chosen by the cook or they had run out of rice???🤔 just say it... The reviews, and our guidebook, suggested this restaurant would be a no-brainer. Unfortunately, we left hungry enough to go out for pizza after our meal, and wondered if by chance we had the wrong place. On the positive side: Our server was delightful, my pork ribs and the bean soup were fine. On the negative: service was so slow that we suspected the waiter was actually the chef as well, my husbands’ risotto was bland and a tiny portion, and the check came with a request — “can you go to the ATM and pay in cash?”, and the change from our ATM cash never came back to us. Perhaps it was just a bad, understaffed waiter/ chef making poor decisions. Perhaps the restaurant is getting over-confident. Regardless, they deserve a poor rating for tonite’s performance.

We were impressed by the gloriously tasty food, slow cooked and conforting, wonderfully mastered. It feels like they cook for family, not for clients, and the cosy atmosphere and the wonderful discreet, but thoughtful service add to the welcoming feeling. We'll be coming back, for sure!

Until I visited this place I didn't knew I'm into Hungarian dishes. The menu is not rich, but each time I went there I always tried something new and it was delicious. Dinning with various people they were all enchanted about the rich taste of new food. The personelle is one of the nicest 👌 and it's a pleasure to go there each time. For the lapte de pasăre/bird's milk fans, my friend said it's exactly like her grandmother's.
Can't review the wines, but the beer is good 😃

A wine bar which is supposed to offer a large variety of wines especially from Transylvania area. Well, don’t set your expectations too high. I never received the wine list and I didn’t have many choices. The food was not very good which ruined my evening. The sausages were cold and didn’t taste well.
