As one of the first stops on our trip, we had lunch at Festival 39 in Brașov. The food options weren't that many, but they were really creative and different from other restaurants in that area. There were many vegetarian options, and most if the...food was really spicy. The service was fast, as we were there soon after the opening of the restaurant, with the waitress being really friendly and helpful. As one person in our group was dieting, she managed to fix them a different kind of pasta, with no meat. One of the best places to eat in Brașov from my experience, especially if you're looking for a more special kind of cuisine.More

The duck was the best duck I've ever eaten! The desert Dante's Inferno is to literally die for, and the cocktails delicious! The atmosphere of the 1920's and their piano during the weekend is just fabulous!

These people have proper customer service skills, sustaining your jokes with the right lines, it's what we call in Romanian language 'being rubbed in with all the ointmwnts' :) The rice with julienne veggies was yummmm! It goes perfectly with the unfiltered Ciuc beer! The...broccoli with mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes, a bit too heavy to say the least. Music is great and the decor complements the artistic spirit of the place. How I wish they had a live jazz band playing! Will definitely come back on a Friday or Saturday, when they have a pianist playing. I'd still vote for a proper jazz band though:)More

Ok....is an istoric place, decorated nice, vintage, but the smell is like in grandmother house, it smell old. So i recomand to make something with the smell and a little bit more light inside!! Good for a visit, but just once! I recomand maximum one...visit for the tourists who like vintage authentic styleMore

If you do not want to wait for a table, better make a reservation. The food is good, the menu is interesting, you can find a plate for any taste. Try it, you will like the experience. Although not all the guys in the stuff...were nice, we wanted to have a nice evening, a pleasant dinner and lucky for us our waiter was old school, a nice and funny guy. And the ambiance was great, the music is perfect for this type of restaurant, the piano guy performance was perfect for our Saturday night in two.More

We don't stay long, just about an hour, to have a couple of beers. We didn't eat anything, so I can;t say nothing about food quality. After our short experience here all I can say is that the interior is wonderful arranged in a nice...vintage style and the waiters are quick and kind. I'd like to comeback anytime. Not very cheap.More

This cozy and chill spot is conveniently located in the center of Brașov. I really like the comfortable chairs. We've had the pleasure to enjoy live piano music here and the whole atmosphere was really great. Did I mention they have the best gulaș in...town (my opinion, of course)?More

We were delighted to have dinner in this restaurant. We tried the gulas soup, which was great! Totally recommend the "visinata" as well.

There is a hotel in the same building, yes. I believe it is Hotel Postavarul. However I'm not sure it's run by the same company.
