Had dinner at Bistro de l'Arte my very first night in Brasov. Had a breakfast there a few days later. Both meals were excellent, memorable, perfection. My dinner consisted of garlic bread, which had a spinach/ garlic spread layered on top which looked very green and a little unusual but was absolutely divine. Margareta pizza was one of the best... This cafe is down a side street and is in a fairly dark old room that has some character. The service was good and friendly and the food fairly basic fiar well presented. D o not expect a wide variety of food but a number of basic dishes and casual style food with bread.

This place is quiet and beautiful. Wonderful old building with thick walls, now converted to a relaxing, atmospheric bar and bistro. They also have piano sessions and it's rather nice.

This place is quiet and beautiful. The food is very good but somewhat expensive. Live music in the evening. As an exotic note, they offer a rather good choice of newspapers from across all Europe; not sure how recent they are though.

Awful experience after waiting 1h30 for a soup, some pastas & a steak. When asked why she couldn't bring at least the soup (after one hour of wait!), the waitress disappeared for another 30 minute. Then she came with the piece de resistance: a plate, full of (literrally) 1/2 L of a melted lard and cold oil combination, with 3 slices... Bistro de l'Arte stands out in the crowd due to it's unique offering. They rely almost exclusively on locally-sourced and organic ingredients. This means their menu is prone to frequent changes. This is the perfect place if you want to try something new and exciting. Quality is high and prices are extremely decent.

Background : restaurant at half capacity (~40%) Minuses: -1.rather low serving (in case of beverages -i.e. Water/ coffee not something hard to prepare) 2. Incredibly bad management skills : More precisely, we ordered 4 fondues (we were 3couples; each with its different fruit choice and no. Of grams/portions of fruits - 10 portions in total (2 couples were sharing and... More

In Brasov, this is one of a kind. It offers a great atmosphere, very special meals, i.e. tasty and slow food, based upon own recipes. A small selection of meals that changes from time to time. One can listen good music, attend live piano recitals or short theatrical performances. Owner is also a gifted chef.

The food here is really fabulous, they are changing some specialties from time to time, I love the burgers here and the apple pie crumble, absolutely delicious. Some times it gets a bit to crowded. My experience going to this place was to wait for 1 h and a half for food but the waitress announced us that food will... More
