Oh my word! Such a feed. Brilliant value for money, huge portions, incredibly tasty! I'd highly recommend this to try the best of Romanian food. The waiter was incredibly helpful if you're not sure what to choose.
Dinner here on the terrace at the bottom of the steps up to the old town. Generally a traditional Romanian menu. We chose duck and venison: both were excellent (although the latter dish was inaccurately translated as "steak". Service was willing, but it was often...difficult to gain attention when more drinks were needed, for example.More
We waited 30 minutes for the drinks and 2 hours for the food and the food was raw. A restaurant that should have a grade of 1!
We waited 2 hours for raw meat See the picture. This is absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant in the historic center.
Since I heard that the food is great here, we wanted to give it a try. Tottaly dissapointing. We waited over 1 hour for the food and over 20 minutes for our drinks. I am not sure if the chef in this restaurant is new...or who is cooking, however it was dissapointing. The goulash was average, the meat was hard and not cooked well. The goulash is not a steak, the meat should melt in your mouth. We also had a steak which was also average and over priced for the quality. The only positive thing I can say is that the waitress was very funny and always tried to cheer us up. There is a problem in that kitchen. If you are looking for traditional romanian dishes, please avoid this place! I have no pictures to show, only the bill.More
We have ordered two limonade and I was really impressed that they did not added beforehand sugar in it. They have bought extra suger to add it to your liking. I was a 'Dracula chicken breast with wild risotto' and they have prepared a cute...vampire face on the chicken. As for my lover, he ordered 'chicken breast with gorgonzola'. We're really two good dishes. The meat was well cooked.More
The location is great. The restaurant is on the edge of the old town, so it is still very scenic and historical- but much less touristy so the atmosphere feels much more authentic. I enjoyed sitting outside on their terrace for hours enjoying their extensive...Romanian and Hungarian beer sellection, their delicious chicken breast in poppy seeds and watching the world go by. The restaurant is in a very historical building and seems to have a lovely interior, but I didn't really go inside as I was enjoying the view from the terrace too much. The best thing about this place though is the staff. The restaurant has wi-fi but it doesn't really extend out into the terrace. I needed to access the Internet but wanted to stay outside, no problem- without being asked the waitresses (Adina and Alexandra) provided me with hotspot Internet from their personal phones. They were friendly and helpful in every possible way and I will definitely be back.More
A perfect place for dinner or for a dessert for couples or families. Very kind and amable personal. I strongly recommend.
We stopped there thanks to the music and we weren't sorry. The food was very goo d, especially the home bread with lard and onion and the potato dumplings. Nice location, friendly staff and fast enough serving.
Excellent ! One of the best restaurants in Sibiu. Great food, good wine selection, good staff, excellent manager. Unique location in the old town. If you are in Sibiu it’s a must to visit !
The service is great and so is the food. We were kindly welcomed inside and received a table according to the number of persons. Waiters are very kind and smiling all the time. The value of the money is great as well and the food...is simply delicious.More
Hi! 3 couples, we entered, the waiter told us we would wait for the food for 2 hours. We then proceed to a table that Just cleared. We asked the waiter again if we could sit down, he said we were welcome to sit but...they would probably not be able to serve even drinks because they were very full. I Was absolutely amazed. I've never heard anything like this in my life. I thought he was kidding but he was dead serious. There where 3 waiters and around 22-25 persons inside. Many people got in and out in 10 minutes, probably being told they could not be served. Best avoid if you do not want to ruin your evening. Thanks!More
