If you are in Sibiu I strongly recommend getting your coffee from Hug the mug, they have a lot of varieties, delicious products in addition to coffee (like sandwiches and pastries) at nice prices. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to come back here and start my mornings with their delightful coffee to go and a stroll in the superb city centre of Sibiu.

During a walk through downtown Sibiu we stopped at the cafe "Hug the Mug". The coffee tasted excellent and the baked goods were also very delicious. The price was fair and the staff friendly , so an unqualified recommendation.

Nice experience. Local vibes, international brand. Friendly staff and of course awesome coffee. Chill terrace, high street upfront. Don't know the origin but it really doesn't matter. Workshop style design.

The male barista was not polite, he looked angry, didn’t smile, and behaved like he wasn’t interested in doing good service. Perhaps I’ll come back, if it is another barista at work. Good coffee

We had breakfast here, but we were not impressed. Nothing memorable. The coffee was good not great. The pastries were ok, and the service was average. I’ve seen on YouTube when they have fancier pastries, but not when I went. You can stop there, but there are better coffee places in town like the NOD and the very best Meron!

The pandemic brought for some what is the best in them while for the others the worst.
This was our experience today while ordering coffee in our favourite place in Sibiu.
A young man decided not to prepare americano as we presented our vaccination cards ( for which he asked ) and mentioning that he will never get vaccinated and not wearing the mask correctly.
We decided not to get into a discussion with him but it seems we had been "punished" for our vaccination cards and could not get our coffees ( which by the way later were prepared by another colleague).
I hope the owner reads the commnet and really deals with employees who need to really care about customers and their safety.

I came here to order two teas for me and my husband…. I am Romanian, but I was born in the states, so my Romanian is not the best. However, I have been traveling all over Romania and everyone has understood me just fine.
I began to order in Romanian, and the young girl with light hair gave me a dirty look… so I said “sorry I’m trying to practice my Romanian”.. she then scoffed and said “just say it in English”…
So I proceeded to order in English and she still didn’t understand how to communicate and had an attitude with me the entire time.
We did enjoy our teas but the customer service was not what I had expected.

What a find in Sibiu Romania 🇷🇴
My wife loves Ethiopian coffee, and I love Colombian espresso.
She loves a long black, barrister was able to do both.

Great choice of smoothie and juices which, I was told by my family, were good.
I had a coffe: good but a bit on the small side.

Good choice of healthy smoothies, I had the smoothie with berries, almond milk, banana and chia seeds which was very tasty.
The pastry choice was limited to a couple of croissants (but that may be because we came later in the morning), but the chocolate croissant was good.

Terrible service, coffee was average! We were looking for the barista for 5 min, apparently he was on a break drinking coffee on the terrace outside, ignoring the customers that were waiting to be serviced inside! When we call out for him he was very disrespectful to us because we bothered him from his break. Wondering if he was on the break, why he didn’t close the shop ?
