Great food and exceptional service!

We decided to stop here as it was a friends recommendation. We had no idea what to order but our server was not only fluent in English but really welcoming. Since we said we eat everything he said would bring us a little bit of everything/popular items from the BBQ portion of the menu. It was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. All of the food and 3 beers were under €20 and the service is exceptional. If you are in Nis and want to have a great tasting meal, make sure you stop by! You will not regret it.

Amazing Serbian restaurant

If you want to experience true Serbia, this is the place. Welcoming and knowledgeable waiters, nice subtle misic, meals so well prepared you will be stunned. Being from Serbia I can guarantee you won’t find better “local” cuisine.

Cozy restaurant, very kind waiter and fast service. Another very important thing is that the bathrooms were very well cleaned and spotless. After eating great food the bill came and it was a lot less than what we thought. If I return to Nis I will definitely go back to this restaurant. Compliments.

Worst restaurant in town

Food is terrible, prices are very high, the service is also bad and the owner is a very unpleasent man. Music is too loud, and we heard that many people in this neighbourhood can' sleep because of very loud music. We do not recommend this place at all!!!

Tourists Unwelcome : My First Negative Rating Ever, Anywhere I have travelled to a LOT of countries, I have worked In many restaurants and owned my own Café for 13 years. Out for respect I ALWAYS ask everywhere “do you speak English or French - I never assume people speak English - and if not I try to speak the host language if I can. I have NEVER in my life been made to feel so unwelcome anywhere in the world as in this restaurant. The waiter who was an older gentleman said in Serbian “I am a Nationalist” - well to that effect. So I don’t even give this place a star because I walked in and walked out. There are many other options in Niš. So to all my international jazz friends, when visiting or performing in Niš for the International Jazz Festival, please do not go to this restaurant because it is most definitely not welcoming to any International visitors.

This nice restaurant offers tasty serbian food. The atmosphere was nice, possible to have a table both inside and outside. The staff speaks good english and was friendly. We got our food really fast. I can recommend the cucumber salad with the restaurants own baked bread for a starter. Next time we are in Nis we will stop here again +++++

Excellent traditional Serbian food in a pleasant atmosphere with the friendliest waiters. The waiters, in addition to being friendly, are unobtrusive, they like to give some advice about the surrounding attractions. The food is excellent and not expensive (two main dishes, one french fries, two beers, dessert and rakija approx. 24e)

Low prices, okay food

A restaurant that is completely ok for anyone who loves meat. The food is so middle class. It does not stand out in any way. The trout I ate was totally tasteless. Shop salad with bitter cucumber. The restaurant needs cleaning as the hygiene is not very satisfactory. Not to mention smoking. As for the service, our hard-working waiter was very kind. So we got over the fact that he was forgetting half the order, he didn't get angry when we reminded him. Low prices, satisfying food, an environment that needs air and hygiene. Service could be better.

Charming place to have almost any traditional food from the region

Google navigated us to the back entrance which looked as if the place has been abandoned for a decade. So entering was a symphatetic surprise, as the atmosphere inside was lively. We usually do not trust too extensive menus, but as we were really hungry after 10h driving and we are fans of the serbian traditional food, we were happy to see their rich menu, starting with incredible choice of mostly serbian wines. The lamb was really delicious, baked potatoes ok, šopska salad under a thick layer of cheese was extremelly over-salted - but we ordered a second plate of it as it somehow tasted great to us on such a hot evening, merlot was served warm (35 degrees or more, which was the air temperature outside) and non-drinkable (and was excluded from the bill), cold beer Lav was a perfect replacement. Overall,a pleasant dinner in a lively atmosphere. As I like some very good wines from Serbia, and from the region arround Niš, I had high hopes also for this part of the meal, no luck this time :/

Delicious food,cosy place, nice music. It was great experience the restaurant closed at 8 p.m. because of kovid 19, but we still enjoyed good food, wine and quince brandy. The musicians were top🔝

The worst place to eat in Niš! Very loud and awful music, high food prices, and terrible food! I do not reccomend this place. Also, the owner, Zorislav is very unpleasent man! There is no parking space!

I know Serbia, Serbian cuisine and hospitality very well. But this place stands out, which is why I am reviewing it. The selection (also some stews) is very good, the quality excellent, the atmosphere (unobtrusive, good musicians) excellent and the waiters around Mitar very attentive. We booked a table for the next evening on the first evening !!

Wonderful Serbian meal

We had a wonderful traditional Serbian dinner at this restaurant recommended by our apartment hosts. We loved our lamb soup, sarme (stuffed cabbage) and veal medallions (cooked perfectly - medium rare) with mushroom sauce! The waiter was super helpful and the prices very reasonable!

The traditional restaurant

The restaurant was hard to find because of the metal doors in front of the restaurant and it was out of the centre. But the food was very delicious. We ate food from sač and grill. Tavče gravče which is baked beans. Desserts were good too. So I recommend.

On entrance of the restaurant we were told to go around the whole block and enter through the garden because we were with a dog. When we did that, on the entrance of the garden we were told we cannot enter with our dog because it is too big. It is a Labrador and there were free tables and enough room … Do not recommend.
