Long thought about going out for dinner in the square area and wandered into this pub. There are no signs on the square, I found it by chance in one of the nooks (near Masha's restaurant). Loved the fact that the pub was in a quiet patio. The restaurant itself is on the ground floor, and outside there is its own terrace. There are enough tables, many visitors, the menu is already on the tables. Traditional Serbian cuisine is on the menu, prices are average. I only saw two waiters at the whole bar. The waiter was friendly and polite and knew English. I ordered sausages with beans and bottling beer. The beer was brought in right away and the food was waiting for about half an hour. nice place in the center of Novi Sad but on my last visit I was very disappointed. i had to wait an hour for them to take my order and then another hour for the food to be delivered

Very good food - but you need to be patient.

As we have been walking through Novi Sad we had to grab lunch at a point, so here it is what we found: location - you need get in through the passage from the Zmaj Jovina street. In the courtyard you will find this restaurant with a good seating capacity and with an outside terrace. We sat outside even that it was october the weather was nice to have a beer on the terrace with a selection of grilled meat. service - overall good but rather slow - once the place got a little crowded it became "dead slow" - otherwise a very helpful and smiling waitress speaking good english - so communication was not issue. If you are not familiar with serbian food ask for an english menu. food - for those of you who are familiar with serbian cuisine or the cuisine of the balkans you already know that meat plays a central role in the dishes. No exception here. The menu has extensive selection of grilled meats , we went for the two mostly known dishes the Cevapi and the Pleskavica. Both of them excellent choices with some fries as side and a cold beer from a local brewery . Both the dishes mentioned are made of minced meat - pork and sheep - and were tender and moist, mildly spiced so you can enjoy the taste without being overwhelmed by spices - and even that both dishes were grilled the meat was not dry or burned. prices - pocket friendly - nothing to complain about and you can pay with credit card. Overall a good place with very good meat dishes - I recommend you try it , but be patient service can be slow.

Really good choise in the heart of the city for traditional dishes in quite normal prices. Nice environment, tasty food and good service. The only bad is that smoking is allowed everywhere inside but so it is almost everywhere in Serbia...

We waited for our order (beans and dumplings) for nearly an hour. When we complained about it, she just rolled her eyes and told us that cook had to make dumplings "just for you". Not even simplest appologie for waisting our time. Horrible service, rude and condesending.

Slow service, cold dishes

The three of us sat down, ordered food and drinks. Drinks were served promptly, but the food arrived over an hour later. Cold. When I went in to enquire, and having seen a table-full of unserved food, I was told that they were very busy and that they could not serve the food as soon as it was ready. Had I not been keeping an eye on the door, I might have believed that story, but the fact that waiters were more or less loitering around kind of destroyed that claim. I said we were not going to pay for the food. Although the manager was not happy about that, he accepted it, but did not offer the drinks on the house as a way of appology. Luckily, we found another restaurant nearby with excellent food, service and decent prices.

We where with a group of 10 people. IT was not crowdy. We asked the waiter to take care for not a long waiting time. Conclusion...... afther 1,5 hour waiting we left this restaurant with an empty stomach. We had to wait for 25 minutes more! Awful !!!!!!!!!

The service was goo - the waitress was speaking very good English and have recommended some dishes from the menu. The food itself was mediocre and nothing to remember - many of the things, that we wanted to order couldn't be prepared at that time. Never eat the cucumber with yogurt salad - it was awful. The beer was good.

Nice location, not so good service

The location is beautiful, enchanting terrace in a yard between old buildings, full of little fairy lights. As for the actual eating part, we waited a pretty long time for someone to come take our order and then bring it to us. We ordered the traditional pljeskavica with a side salad. The pljeskavita was only warm and they forgot the salads - so we waited a another 15 minutes for them. Meanwhile, the main dish obviously went completely cold. Kind of ruined the experience of having a complete delicious meal.

First time visited.Wanted to east speciallity food so I ordered a Karadjordje's Schnitzel. Eat it for the first time and very enjoyed in food.The price is very good and I am very satisfied with the quality of food.
