Occasionally I have been eating there during about 20 years. It serves typical Ukrainian food at affordable price. Based on my last visit there in winter 2019 I may say that to my personal opinion, the food was just OK, resembling eating rather at a...canteen than at a restaurant, everything was fresh, traditional but not delicious.More

Delicious! Cheap! Lovely! I can't say any word against this restaurant. We were here at 12 o'clock and it was leer there.

We went there for dinner and lunch on several occasions during our 5 days in Lviv. The waitress is very serious, she never smiles, but the food is excellent and the menu is very extensive. Sometimes the place is closed before its official closing time...of 10pm. Often only the door is closed but the place is actually open. Also, in late evenings they don't turn the lights on until it is really really dark (I know they are used to this kind of semi-darkness from the times of electricity shortages in the USSR some 20years ago when I visited here also). We can definitely call it a "unique" atmosphere. I hope this place will never go bankrupt, as it seems that these days Ukrainians only want to eat pizza and "gamburgyery". I see some reviewers complain about some dishes, but I suspect it is because of regional taste differences. Lvivski borscht (and other dishes) will not have the same taste as borscht in Vilnius or in Poznan...More

As I stay at hotel in Svobody avenue, I saw this cafe before, and I decided to visit this place for lunch. Interior is wonderful, in Ukrainian style, very colourful. A cuisine is Ukrainian and very taste. I asked about red Ukrainian borshch and tongue...with SMETANA. Also I liked carpatian grass tea. I like this cafe!More

We eat here every time we visit. Decorated in a traditional Ukrainian village style, with lots of embroideries and flowers. A nice touch is the wooden fence dividing the tables. Yes I'm sure when it comes to decorations there are nicer places but they can...not beat the food. During our visit there was only one woman serving all the tables which made the dining time longer. They should have more help. Food was tasty and inexpensive. The bortsch is a must try.More

The place is made up to look like a piece of an Ukrainian village, with beautiful embroideries on the walls. the dishes are traditional Ukrainian ones, though the offer of vegetarian ones could be made larger. On our first visit (Saturday evening), we were put off...by a live perfomer with a synthesiser and left. The next day it was quieter and although we were in a hurry for our flight, we had a nice lunch, speedily served. Another offputting feature is the dimmed light wich looks strange with the rustic décor.More

I had heard about this restaurant for many years and finally took had the opportunity to come in. EH is all I can say. There are many better option if you are looking for typical Ukrainian food, with far better service. I waited over an...hour for potato pancakes. Everyone was working on dessert when they finally arrived. Poor front of house management. Once our dinners arrived, they weren't really worth the wait. Everything a bit bland and flavorless. The wait staff was not attentive and the music was so loud conversations were difficult. I had heard the quality had slipped somewhat, disappointing.More

Restaurant is situated on the Main street in Lviv. Prospect Svobody. No fuss place a feel of village ambiance. A place for a quick bite . However with a ll the new restaurants in town I feel there are better choice but I would not...hesitate to eat here if I was truly hungry and in a hurry.More

Propably one of the best ukrsinian meal. I ate pancakes, dumplings, ukrainian soup and ribs. 1st class for all of dishes except ribs. It was good but not the best. Life music, and a lot of vodka. Must be there.
