Went for a couple of cocktails after the ballet, delicious drink and went to order another to be told they couldn’t do any more due to technical issues, think it was to do with a busy bar and only one barman working . Very strange.

It was great experience - the design of cocktails and the place was impressive. But the cocktails were not that good. Worth going for the experience :).
We spent some time there before opera classic concert Rigoletto. Restaurant is located just below Lviv Opera Concert Hall so is great to start the evening in this wonderful place. We enjoyed very much though it is more focused to young people who likes DJ’s...playing electronic music. Here you can find all different food options, beverages and cocktails. It was a great surprise to find the finest Mexican distilled spirit: Mezcal. I order one for my friend despite it was the most expensive option in the menu. However, it was kind of sad for me to read Mezcal bottle label made in Guatemala and not from Oaxaca. I do recommend to offer the famous Sweden singer Lykke Li Mezcal brand : ”Yola”, it’s great and not more expensive compared with the option we had. This place deserves to have the best.More
Brilliant spot for exciting cocktails all presented with tremendous theatre. Inexpensive. Sit in a booth opposite the bar and watch the guys create ! Friendly efficient service.
Be careful, I ordered a "Duck tale" cocktail but it was just bath without duck. Was not impressive, small and uncomfortable cocktail.
We were there very late on Sunday,so the place was not busy. The interior is nicely done with some corky ideas. Cocktails need a bit of work, cause one was good, the other had some ingredients that were not supposed to be in it. Overall cool...experience.More
Just the location under the opera by an underground river (now covered under glass) merits a visit. But for the drinkers the cocktail presentation is worth a visit too -- each one is presented in an unique and whimsical way.
My friend and I went around 6pm to Opera Underground. There were only a few people at that time, which was perfect for us ( as we don’t like busy or lines ) the waitress was very helpful. We had “ on the go cocktail...“ and “Van Gogh “. Both were delicious. Cocktails are cheap compared to North America. Cocktails are between 90 -300 UAH. And every cocktail come with its own theme. One came as a steam punk and the other on a paint palate … very interactive.More
Before going to the Opera Underground, we did not have the chance of reading reviews. Good thing, because then we would probably not have ended up here, since it got mixed reviews here on TA. We found it an amazing place! It was a hidden...gem that we did not find in a blog or something. We were there on a Sunday evening, around 11.00 pm. Not much people, but we went for it anyway. And boy, did we not get disappointed! We ordered the Office cocktail and the Clover Club cocktail. We got a lamp and a miniature bath tub. Both actually were the cocktail! Now that's a way of presenting beverages! Same goes for the Van Gogh cocktail I ordered afterwards. Simply wow! And they tasted good as well. This place deserves more positive reviews. We had a perfect time!More
We came here for lunch. It was not kid-friendly, but we enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was a bit pricy and there was not much on the plate. I would recommend going there for a coffee/tea or something simple just to see the cool ambiance.
We accidently found this place during a guided tour. The food was really fresh and tasty. When we got our food we had to ask if the prices really were in hryvnas. Sooo cheap for so fancy food. If you want nice, fancy and healthy...food I would recommend this place!! Best in Lviv?!More
This place has a big potential, but the choice of music is very disappointing. What's the point of having a beautiful, atmospheric place UNDER AN OPERA, and playing the most regular music in the world? I expected classical music, instead I got some noisy, aggressive...rock. If you have a beautiful restaurant like this, it just kills the whole experience. It's also so loud it makes your head hurt and makes talking difficult. And what's the most unlogical, the only rooms where classical music is being played are the toilets! Unbelievable. I don't recommend you going there. Just to a regular disco or a rock concert, the experience will be similar.More
This cosy place is located in the basement of the opera house accessible from the right side of the building. The underground stream runs under the floor and a huge number of live crayfish is displayed in an aquarium at the entrance. The theme of...the restaurant is the opera plays and its specialties are mussels and crayfish. We tried both and as the crayfish is much nicer to look at than to eat, we highly recommend the mussels that are cooked in a mouthwatering sauce with potatoes. The waiters are young and friendly and speak a little English.More
This cellar restaurant is situated under the opera house, and apparently above the buried Poltva river that runs submerged through Lviv. The menu is very limited, but fine if you just want to come and munch crayfish tails. Atmospheric dark cellar with disturbing perspectives to...make you feel as if the ceiling, walls, or floor are uneven. Loud Ukrainian rock music. Maybe a place to go once to.More
Came on friday evening, only several tables occupied, sad impression as for the restaurant with such a loud story. After like 10.30pm people appeared a bit) Menu was surprisingly small, i asked the waiter if its full menu or they are hiding smth from us,...he laught that everybody ask and they have recently changed it fully. So all you can find in menu is some cancers, mussels and few more mainly seafood-style foodies. On weekends (fr-sn) you can find here electro-acoustic guitar cover duo playing world hits (like soft rock or smth), ok.More
