The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the decor has had a lot of work put into it. The location is decent and the basement is deceptively large and sprawling, with every square inch covered in various Soviet era paraphernalia. The food was great- I...was recommended pierogi, potato pancakes, the half-metre sausage, and the apple pancakes. There was also a selection of Ukrainian wines and beers from small brewing houses. The waitress was great and put up with my friends and I all whilst providing perfect service. She had a perfect memory and didn’t make any mistakes which is always welcome! Unfortunately I do not possess a perfect memory so can’t provide her name for feedback (think it sounded something like Ksenia?) Would recommend to anybody visiting or living in L’viv.More

Everything about this place is awesome, from the moment you arrive. You need to say a (not so secret) password at the entrance to be let in, before proceeding downstairs into a cave-like network of underground rooms decked out with all kinds of Ukrainian paraphernalia....Traditional Ukrainian cuisine, traditional Ukrainian music and traditional Ukrainian decor. These types of places can often be gimmicky and poor value but the food was really good, albeit slightly more expensive than average in Lviv (but still very reasonable by most European standards). Definitely worth a visit.More

Everything here is set up to glorify Ukraine in war times and the way food presented and served gives you a little flavour of tough life in war times. There is nearly no lighting in the restaurant, everything is lit up by candles, the restaurant...is underground which feels like a bomb shelter. The food is served in metal plates and metal mugs are used to serve water. You still can have a wine goblet though;-) Food is tasty but not remarkable, don't come here just to dine, some to have full experience and visit the smoking area even if you are not a smoker as it is very interestingly designed, again in war style. I recommend it! Oh, try deruny, that was super tasty!More

Amazing place with super interior and truly impressive environment, makes to feel like dozens years ago during the fight for Ukrainian independence. Service- top class, with friendly staff. Location- centre of the Lviv, special thanks for excellent internet- was supportive feature. The food- unbelievable!!! For...real lovers of Ukrainian cuisine- it’s a paradise. I ordered blood sausage, chicken hearts and holodez- everything was delicious. Prices were fair. This restaurant is a quite popular location, despite the fact that thy have few zones- it was crowded enough, but with friendly atmosphere. I liked this place so much and recommend to visit as a compulsory restaurant for all visitors of beautiful city of Lviv!!More

I was visiting Lviv for the first time and was looking for this restaurant because I had heard a lot about it long ago before my visit, and I was positively surprised by what I found there. This is not just a museum, or just...a restaurant, but is an exact location where resistance was fighting against the soviet red army. The place has deeper meaning if you know a little bit of history. The first impression was a problem to find the place, but it was an interesting part, as hiding that place from occupants. Then, an armed person is opening the door just as in war times... and the underground ambient with authentic guns and gears from the second world war... they give this place a special feeling, while the food served there is local, authentic and very tasty. This was a very unique and authentic experience and I would surely return there next time I am visiting Lviv. It is worth visiting this, and other thematic restaurants there.More

I heard it was a good restaurant from my brother who was there in 2016 but now it was very bad. We didnt have QR scanner so we couldnt check menu and waitress recommended us most probably the most expensive meal which was total crap...and mushroom soup which was cold, smelled bad and portion was small. I assume that now they just reap the benefits of how good they were few years ago.More

It seemed to me to enter in a History museum more than in a bar-restaurant. Very great design and atmosphere, startibg from the password game at the door till the old fusils and army uniforms which let the guest to have some unique photos. The...plates were also tasty, maybe not the best I tried in Ukraine but the whole experience definitely worth it.More

At this point Kryivka is riding on a hype created online. Food quality is abismal. And kids (all of them are about 18) that serve your food are more eager to play with each other instead of doing their job which is taking care of...their patrons. All of parafernalia is randomly collected and is out of place. All in all it's for people that have no clue about history and company that owns the place is using tragedy of the region and of current Russian-Ukrainian war for personal gain. Better go to Veterano pizza, those guys at least help veterans and war participants.More

It is great for atmosphere and for drinks but the food is mostly hit and miss. I've been here multiple times because it is fun but the food quality is kind of dropping. I’m not sure that would really embrace the spirit of the place. Beer is cheap so why not buy some? You’ll have a good evening if you visit. Worth the effort.
