One of the highlights of our holiday!

Zadar Jadera has an amazing selection of fresh fish dishes and would be perfect for both lunch and dinner, especially with the quiet and romantic location. We took the octopus salad to start, the Dalmatian monkfish for main and the Dalmatian rozata for dessert (the pictures are attached). The food was absolutely delicious, in particular the octopus salad, which was one of the best dishes I have eaten in a very long time. The portion sizes are very generous and the service is excellent - our waiter was very kind and attentive. We loved our meal and would highly recommend it!

Nice place to try Croatian food at a good price

We were recommended to visit this restaurant to try the traditional pasticada (gnocchi with beef) for 100 kuna. We also had the squid and chips for around 120 kuna. Both were lovely and we enjoyed the outside sea img next to the church. Service was very fast and friendly!

Every year my family visits Zadar and we always have lunch in this lovely restaurant. Our favourite dish is a monkfish fillet in prosciutto. The young lady who was serving us was amazingly nice and she met all of our needs and wishes.

Super satisfied with our first meal in Zadar!

We decided to try out this place due to many positive reviews about it. We were not disappointed and truly enjoyed the experience throughout. The ambiance is top, the service is great and the food is delicious especially the seafood platter and the black ink risotto.

Potatoes are beyond imagination

We were actually the only guests in the restaurant at 13:00, I think mainly because of the Corona. But the service was still good. We’ve ordered a steak plate for 2 persons. It was absolutely enough for couples and I had to admit there potatoes were really very delicious. Of course the steaks and the vegetables were tasty but the potatoes were really unforgettable. Unfortunately I forgot to take pics of the main course but at least a pic for the Dolci (the rosata Dalmatian style). The restaurant is definitely recommendable.

Despite the restaurant being very busy, we had very good service. We ordered 2 risotto for starters which were excellent. Followed by calamari and monk fish. Unfortunately there was a slight blunder with the order and a tuna dish came instead of the the calamari. However, the waiter was so apologetic about it that we felt bad sending it back. Either way the tuna steak was very nice. The portions are quite big and we could have honestly done without the fish dishes after the risotto.

Good steak and service

Had dinner here last night. Nice restaurant and our waitress was lovely. Hubby had steak and said it was very nice, cooked bottom end of medium as requested and he enjoyed a lovely glass of a local red wine with it. I had the beef tagliatelle and not sure I read the menu properly as rather than an Italian type sauce, it came in a beef gravy which was okay if quite salty and not really what I was expecting. Lovely restaurant but I think I chose the wrong meal for me.

I came to this restaurant with friends, and I will say it was a very good choice. Location in old Zadar which gives it all its charm. I am also a chef so I am very picky about food, but when the service brought the food from the first try, I will say that it was poetry of taste, great applause for the chefs of this restaurant. Waiter service is also at a high level. I will definitely come back there next time I'm in Zadar.

Great dinner in the center of Zadar

Local in the center of Zadar, just behind the church. Great food and good value for money, we took two waters, a coffee, an appetizer, a first and two main courses with dessert for a total of 87.60 €. Also the staff was very courteous and fast. With us we brought our dog (large size).

Good compromise in Zadar

Restaurant in the historic center of Zadar with an elegant style, not a trattoria style. Meat and fish dishes from local/Dalmatian cuisine. Prices slightly lower than the rest of the city. We took: Cheese plate, 3 soups, grilled fish to split in two, Dalmatian pasticciata, 3 coffees, 3 Maraschini, 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of water. Total is: €120.

Lovely friendly people, price friendly, enjoyable atmosphere and good food. Fish was great. We had the fish platter, we did tho wanted to have 2 different fishes but we got 2 the same. The rest was well done. Lastly we would recommend this place to eat 😋 It was really delicious

Amazing and to be repeated!

Amazing food, great environment and staff, and the prices are not at all expensive for the old town. We had to wait a bit longer than expected for the food but after seeing how delicious it was there is no regret. We had the rumpsteak a la chef and the roasted veal and it was absolutely delicious. The mocktail was incredible as well. Two dishes, bread, and two drinks we paid a total of 49 euros. Definitely recommend!

Jadera, the perfect taste to a lovely summer day in Zadar

While strolling around Zadar and looking for a place for lunch, Jadera offered just what we needed, tasteful local cuisine. The service of friendly and skilled stuff and the quality food was so pleasant that we had to return. And next summer we will hopefully come again, maybe for dinner. The chicken with figs, tuna and slow cooked lamb were delicious.

Nice little restaurant good for a snack too

This is a lovely find, main restaurant food looks good and authentic but we had a beer (local dark) coffee - good quality and two of the soups both good - fish soup is delicate, light and more of a consumme with a sheep cheese nibbles plate, and some fresh local bread thrown in. Nice light lunch in lovely outside area away from the crowds. Worth a drop in, I’d come back for a full meal if we were here longer.
