We've dined here repeatedly over the years but this time left disappointed. The fish was ok, the accompanying veggies salted to high heavens. The icing on the (bad) cake was the mineral water. It just smelled funny. We didn't say anything as we hadn't had that brand in a while. When we tasted the real thing the next day we... More

Our visit to Niko was really great. We had lovely fish, scalops and langustini. All very fresh and high quality! Definitely worth a visit!

We went to this restaurant on the first evening of our stay in Puntamika, chiefly because, it was the closest, good quality, restaurant to our apartment. We were reassured by the fact that our trusted guide book had given it a good write up, albeit, with a warning that prices are high by local standards. We have no objection to paying... More

first the good things: the food is excellent. all fish and the rest of the seafood is as fresh as can be. the kitchen guy also know how to prepare it. u can have high quality wine by glasses. and then a somewhat cold shower comes when the check comes. around 20% higher prices than usual. but you don't feel... We visited Zadar on our honeymoon and happened to live just next door from Nikos. What a stroke of luck! Seafood so fresh it was basically moving around on the plate and waiters made you feel almost like family straight from the start. Heard from many that this is considered one of the nicest places in town. Even saw some... More

We dined here last year and everything was perfect One year on and it appears as though the restaurant has lost it's appeal with the public Average food , average service yet the prices are still high I hope they turn things around as this was an iconic restaurant in Zadar

I love seafood but this dalmatian seasoning was terrible. I won't go there one more time I'm sure. The wines are the best from the menu. But do not try beers those were awful.

We were recommended this restaurant by our airbnb host as a great family run place with lovely fresh fish and we weren't disappointed. The setting is lovely with the big windows open overlooking the sea. The service was great, very attentive. The panna cotta dessert was gorgeous and worth having!! We would return if in the area.

Thank Tuckenby

The members of the Pavin family explain their lifelong successful tradition with the motto: "Our guests feel at home here and the meals we serve them are the ones we would prepare for us." The Niko Restaurant is situated just 3,5 km from the town centre, in the picturesque location known as Puntamika. It is surrounded by the sea, soft flowing winds, with the panoramic View of our 3,000 years old town of Zadar, the town with rich historical background and numerous cultural and historical monuments and museums. The restaurant has seating for 150 people. Its cuisine is based on the fish and the house specialities are scampi, fish (which our guests choose themselves from an abundant fresh selection) and lobsters from our own aquarium. Not only the pleasant atmosphere and the world class cuisine are meritorious for the overall enjoyment you will experience at Niko's, the credit also goes to the klapa Niko (choir) founded by the owner himself.
