Our family of 5 ate a good dinner. Kids pasta bolgnese & pizzas were great. Adults swordfish good, chicken with polenta tasteless.

Upon discovering Tinel, I made it m own 'tinel' - a place to relax and start - or end - the night. The food selection and combinations are very innovative, especially the sea food. We've (my friends and I) dined there several times during our stay, and had coffee and pizza few times during a day.

During our summer trip to Europe and Croatia we made sure to visit Tinel again. Tinel remained true to its reputation; awesome environment, right in the center of the old city, with food. We had a very warm welcome from the owner, Majika, who remembered us from our visit last year (yes he did indeed - we recalled the small... More

On first impressions, it's down a side street and looks a bit out of the way. The guy serving our table was a bit rushed and not as polite as what you would expect but....... Once the food came... All is forgiven. I had lasagne, it was a massive portion and it was fantastic, really, the best I've had, tasty... More

This year we visited again this small restaurant in Zadar city centre. Owner of the restaurant and staff were very wellcome and friendly. Restaurant was packed with local people and tourists. This time we tried Brodetto made of sqid and sea bream stuffed with motar (tipical seaside grass- Crithmum maritimum), goat cheese and shrimps. Very innovative and tasty. Whenever we... More

I have been in Zadar, 2 times (2013 & 2014), and have visited this restaurant both times.. Like my headline says; the food is very delicious and the restaurant is very cosy. Expect some waiting time for a table if you visit the restaurant at the primetime, but the food is absolutely worth waiting for :))

Food was exceptional (especially my seafood dish) The pork was a tad over done but the amazing sauce made up for it. :) The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was great!

My friend and I sat down and were greeted by a very nice waiter. After a traditional drink of Travarica we enjoyed a beautifully prepared dinner. My grilled fish with a creamy truffle sauce was impeccable and the grilled zucchini and eggplant were cooked just right! My friend said his pasta with clams was delicious, and the sauce went perfectly... More

Delicious grilled polenta and grilled vegetables accompanied our Greek salad. The Feta was as it should be; creamy, smooth but also sharp and tangy. I've had a few pizzas in my time and the vegetarian pizza here was very good - better than I had a few months back in southern Italy. The setting is cool and relaxing with gloss... More

Welcome to Tinel! Enjoy the atmosphere of the ancient Zadar town on the peninsula mixed with all the buzz of the near-by piazza, the Zadar’s main square. In the old Dalmatian homes, the room used for socializing and relaxation was referred to as “tinel”. In Italy and in the South of France it is the name used for dining rooms or refectories. So what a better place to experience Mediterranean and Dalmatia, the history of the old-age towns built from stone and gastronomical secretes of their residents, then in the very center of the over three thousand years old town of Zadar.Restaurant TINEL is a restaurant, a bistro, a pizzeria and a spaghetteria. It is a casual and relaxed eatery, with friendly crew and excellent chefs. We offer traditional Mediterranean and Dalmatian cuisine with a touch of creativity and contemporary themes. Whether you look for pasta, pizza, salads, meats or fish, you will find it here. Join us, relax and enjoy… TINEL is the place for the good mood and the great food.
