We hade a fine doning evening iver 8 courses. All was good until 6,5 courses. We had to leave because tables around us started to smoking. All good tasted more cigarette smoke than the food itself. Most sorry feel I for the chef in the...kitchen who puts his heart in making really good food and for me I was good 6,5 courses out of 8. We settled the bill and left, what the 7th and desert (8) is tasted we don’t know. Main course half eaten. This place is not to recommend for fine dinging as long as there are ash trace on the tables.More

We booked a meal at this restaurant a couple of months in advance, while researching our visit to Zadar, and were looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The food was good, but not great and the service was quite bad. Once our...main courses were finished they just wanted to get rid of us - we were not offered any dessert, or a look at the dessert menu. When we asked for coffee we were told the coffee machine had just been cleaned for the evening, so we couldn't have any. Would not recommend. There are plenty of nicer restaurants in Zadar.More

Not the cheapest place in town but probably the best seafood! Your moneys worth. Just let yourself relax in the hands of an experienced waiter.

we celebrated my mother's 80th birthday here, and it was a great experience. Couvert was interesting, tuna with roman gnocchi was excellent, and deserts inovative and very tasty. Worth the price!

The couver was excellent but my excitement was quickly dampened by the fish soup. It had too much onion and lacked the desirable fish flavor although it contained lots of fish pieces. I tried many fish soups and I understand that they can contain very...different ingredients besides fish and still be equally good but this one felt like a failed experiment. Moreover, the selection of fresh fish was limited, which was disappointing. We tried the grilled fish, which was good but not exceptional. The real disappointment came with the side of chard which was completely drenched in oil, making it almost inedible. It was a shame, as the dish had the potential to be great. The cakes were average. This restaurant is likely the most expensive in Zadar, but the quality of food do not justify the high price.More

Good Croatian friends took us here for dinner. They had a good seafood menu and we enjoyed the ambience and the food but it was pricey and little formal.

Absolutely lovely dinner! Fish filet and duck breast cooked absolutely perfectly! Super tender and moist. The sweet potato puree was heavenly. The scampi carpaccio and tuna tartare were also absolutely lovely! Great service and gorgeous restaurant. Highly recommend!

The food , particularly the fish was gorgeous .The coconut panacotta was lovely . However the overall bill 1000kuna ( £110) we thought was overpriced for 2 people.

I attempted a visit to Fosa. I asked where I could sit to have a drink- it’s 4 pm and I don’t know if I’m ready for dinner. The restaurant is empty except for two tables. I’ve heard from multiple sources that this is a...wonderful place for seafood and drinks. The server told me they don’t offer seatings for drinks, only lunch or dinner. There is no bar seating. I agree and will order some fish as this was recommended to me. As we are walking to a table, the server says “by the way, grilled vegetables or soup or something like this are not considered lunch. You need to order an entree”. Clearly I was not visibly someone he expected to be visiting his restaurant. I asked for the wine list and food menu before committing to a table. The menu didn’t offer the kinds of sparkling wines I was interested in tasting, but I agreed to get some oysters and try some other kind of wine. He informed me they do not have oysters now. I asked what they did have, and he said there were “plenty of options”. The menu was actually very limited and was very much dinner options in size and price, although it was only 4 pm. I informed the server that I did not appreciate the tone in which he spoke to me and that I felt quite judged. I will not be returning to this restaurant and will instead visit the other 4 or 5 star restaurants in the city with a more extensive wine list and the seafood they offer on the menu actually in the restaurant. Needless to say I’m very disappointed by the way this individual treated a potential customer.More

Very special sea food restaurant. The location is wonderful- next to the city wall on the sea. The dishes was very good from the appetizer through the first, main to the dessert. We love the food. The service was very good.

The previous reviewers bad review is incorrect, there is an a la carte menu, I had 2 courses, my husband 3, but really the food is so generous that 2 courses is sufficient. The location on the water alone is reason to come, it’s so...romantic. Service all night from Ante was exemplary. We chose all seafood courses and every taste was of the sea, nothing tricked up. We thought the value for money was excellent. We would return in a heartbeat. Let Ante select the wine for you.More
