A couple of minutes far from the church of St. Donatus, yet far enough from the crowd. Cute and delightful restaurant with its romantic terrace and delicious italian food, will give you memorable experience. In Salsa rossa you can fill the taste of Italy in heart of the old town. Try delicous pizzas made with mozzarella cheese, focaccia bread, San Daniele prosciutto and other Italian specialties.
Pinsa pizza is simply great. Very tasty, light and beautifly served. Staff is also very polite (female staff much more then the male staff but we were lucky to get young waitress who was brilliant). Ambient is nice in the less crowded part of the...old town. Prices are very reasonable, not like sourounding restaurant that rip off everyone. I would highly recommend Salsa Rossa to everyone.More
My family and I went to dinner and wanted to eat some pizza since children really like it.
We discovered that they have added new pizza to menue pinsa pizza.
It has crispy light texture and its great, best I have eaten in long time....We took Napolitana mixed with Margarita to try all of us and were delighted.
After I eat pasta with vongoli and they were also great.
Do try pinsa pizza! RefreshementMore
We happened by Salsa Rosss just as we thinking about lunch. It has a wonderful outside covered terrace, just before one of the city gates. It is off the main tourist streets, so it was quiet and peaceful. We split a pizza, which was more...than enough food for lunch. The pizza was delicious, the staff friendly, and the ambiance peaceful. It is closing for the season in the middle of October. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.More
This was walking distance from our hotel and an easy jumping off point for exploring the walled city. We dined on the patio, and had local beer and a great pizza—the Salsa Rossa ala Feferoncini, topped with Croatian bacon, kulen, and hot HOT chili pepper....The pizza was large enough for two, and was great combined with local draft beers.
This hit the spot—not the greatest pizza, but absolutely fine.More
