Wonderful experience all round, especially the mussels, the luxurious surroundings, live pianist playing great music . . . and you must visit the loos while you’re there . . . I went back just to take a photo of the loos . . friendly and...attentive UN intrusive staff . . . we’ll go again for sure.More

We visited Kornat on our last night of the trip, as we’d walked past and seen the restaurant on the harbour. The service was incredible with friendly and accommodating staff, in a beautiful setting and great atmosphere. We had three Croatian wines recommended by our...waiter including a local dessert wine, which went so well with our mussels and bread. My partner is gluten free and this was no issue at all. For the price of a casual meal in the UK we got a top class restaurant experience. 10/10 recommendMore

We had a lovely meal - both enjoying a main course of fish which was perfectly cooked. The desserts tempted us but we really should have shared one as the portions were big! Lovely wine and friendly attentive service from the charing Tony and his...team. A digestif on the house complemented this perfect last meal. We wished we had discovered it earlier on our holiday! A cut above the rest and well worth a visit.More

So, the last day of our holiday and we have eaten well (and very heartily) during our stay. All our food experiences have been really good. But we wanted to finish on a fine dining 'high'. I'm so pleased that my wife won this particular...discussion. It was everything we hoped it would be. Our lovely server was helpful and happy to recommend (without being pushy). The steak risotto (with truffle) was superb (and lingered on my taste buds for a long time). The mussels were amazing. The wine worked perfectly. We arrived just as the sun had set - an amazing backdrop - wish we had arrived 15 mins earlier for the full show! A great last mealMore

The staff in this restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our food (we shared tuna tartare for a starter, scorpionfish in gregada style for main and shared a mille-feuille for dessert). The mille-feuille wasn't a traditional one but it was still tasty! We...also had wine. The main thing that took us for surprise was the overall cost - the starter (110 kuna/€14.64), dessert (39 kuna/€5) and wine were reasonably priced but the Scorpionfish was 550 kunas (€73 so that's €36.5 each). In retrospect, we should have gone for one of the main seafood dishes which are 130/140 kunas (€17/18) which would've been half the price but we didn't know how much the fish weighed and cost until the end. We would go back but we'd be more careful about what we chooseMore

Dinner here was a great experience. Starting with a good water outlook and great service from staff working in what is obviously a great work environment. A piano player during dinner adds to the relaxed and comfortable feel. Good choice of food, recommend the mussels...,and good choice of local wines it was a quality dining experience and easily the best we had at ZadarMore

Waiter told us that we can sit at the table. There were 4 occupied tables, out of 20. Minute later they told us, that there is no free table.

Do not expect a traditional tourist restaurant. This is more classy, but still at a reasonable price. We had a big fish (sea bream) in a salty crust, from the oven, but then prepared at our table. Excellent! And for those who like it, some...waiters start singing with the life pianist, later in the evening.More

I’m sorry- this is going to be long….Just thinking of this place makes me so happy! Briefest summary: If you are in zadar, and you like to eat delicious food, with excellent service, at amazing value for money, go here, you will NOT regret it!...We were a group of four ladies on a four night break to Zadar. We were recommended Kornat by a local, and we are eternally grateful 😍 the food is absolutely perfect; every course exceptionally tasty and beautifully presented- service was smooth, elegant, charming- nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed our first evening at Kornat so much, that we asked on the spot to reserve again for the following night…we had a reservation elsewhere (supposedly very special) for our final evening, but after arriving to an aloof reception, a list of unavailable food items, and an unchecked wasp problem, left and made a call to our friends at Kornat- who thankfully managed to squeeze us in on a fantastic table despite being fully booked. Honestly, Krisko (or Saint Krisko as I call him), Sandra, and all of the amazing team couldn’t have been more charming, fun and welcoming to us; we felt like princesses- and to be fair, the extravagant and impressive decor of the restaurant supported that feeling :) (just pop to the loos and you’ll see what I mean) From the very first bite of the complimentary tuna appetiser, we were hooked. Over three evenings, we sampled grilled tuna steak, duck breast, monkfish and gnocchi in truffle sauce, mussels, whole grilled sea bass (wow!), veal with ravioli in truffle sauce, home made tagliatelle in wild mushroom sauce (heaven), a seafood starter…. Literally everything was perfect. Having trained as a chef and worked in Michelin-started kitchens, I have a tendency to be picky! We were also lucky enough to sample every dessert on the menu 😍 creative, delicate and presented in a fun style. I could wax lyrical about each and every course (and let’s not even start on the delicious and very reasonably priced wine!), but I can’t say enough, how special the team made our each and every visit. Again, not only was (silver) service by the (white gloved) waiting staff absolutely on point (highly attentive but not overbearing), but just the kindness and hospitality we received from all the team at Kornat was one of the absolute highlights of our trip- and in a place as beautiful as Zadar that’s an achievement. We genuinely felt special, absolutely at home, and that we were among friends in their company. Suffice to say, next time I visit Zadar, I absolutely will be returning to Kornat (I’ll probably have the veal!), and can’t wait to catch up with the gang!More

Wonderful lunch in a beautifully decorated place. We didn’t know about this restaurant and just entered for lunch. It was an excellent experience and probably one of the best in the city that focuses on high quality culinary adventures.

This place is comparable to more famous Fosa and Kastel - but with much better prices, atmosphere and service. Tuna tartare was to die for. We also ordered monkfish with gnocchi and truffles, and white fish fillet with anchovies and potatoes mash - unbelievably good....Service is fantastic, waiters are friendly and attentive - just the right amount so they are not bothering you all the time. There is also a great selection of local wines. I’m recommending Kornat to everyone I know! Superb.More

We were this noon in Zadar and visited restaurant Kornet. It is a very beautiful art nouveau restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised not only of the building but also especially of the excellent cuisine and the friendly, classy service. The best restaurant in Kroatia!
