My husband and I were delighted to find restaurant Kornat open and welcoming at 4pm today. This would never happen in France. Ante was delighted to see us and was so friendly. We arrived on a motor bike and that was fine too. We had...a lovely meal and great chats with Ante and the lovely American/ Croatian waitress. We have visited many times and Kornat always makes us happy. We will be back next yearMore

This restaurant came highly rated to us, but we were certainly disappointed. We ordered the veal, which was good, but the squid stuffed with scampi came out as an egg roll presentation (not as described) and fell well below expectations. After not eating the squid...and the waiter not around to send it back, we simply let it sit on the table. We had also ordered a salad, which was never brought to the table. When we were asked how things were, we were honest that the squid was not good, but no changes on the bill were made and management was not willing to make any changes.More

Nicely decorated ambience and top service are for five, but the food is no longer that. The grilled grouper was dry which is quite difficult to achieve with this fish. The chard was not freshly cooked and in addition it was overcooked and tasteless. Thick...black soup is black, but not thick. It resembled an oversalted base mixed with cuttlefish ink. Nothing more. Chocolate pralines filled with panna cotta are not filled with it because the contents of the filling spill. It’s more of a liquid sweet cream. Panna cotta with raspberries is the size of an inch. You get two such "thumbs", and the rest of the dessert is a scoop of ice cream. The dessert could also be called ice cream with traces of panna cotta. Mille-feuille is not Mile-feuille. These are three pieces of crispy dough that is neither puffy nor crispy, but something in between on which you get caramel ice cream. It’s ice cream with overcooked biscuits. If the six of you pay for dinner around € 400, then you should either eat well or at least enjoy the top flavors. This time none of it happened.More

Wonderful restaurant with world-class service, great food and a very classy interior. A pianist playing a grand piano while dining, the wine recommendations were excellent, nothing bad to say about Kornat. The staff was very attentive, you never feel forgotten but it also never feels...like they're breathing down your neck. Will absolutely come back go this place!More

Generally pretty disappointing. We had the monkfish gnocchi and as previous reviews have said it was inedible. The white fish and pasta dishes we had were cooked well but the flavour underwhelming. Atmosphere and service were good, just let down by the food.

I hate to write a bad review, especially given everyone was so friendly however, I think we must have been there on an off night or something - because our food was not very nice at all. We booked a late dinner at Kornat having...read the good reviews and seen it mentioned on some dining lists for Zadar. The restaurant itself is very grand, in a chintzy sort of old fashioned charm way, and is situated on the river. We were greeted very warmly and everyone was very nice throughout although it took a very long time for food to come. We were the last table and they told us they had been very busy. This might have been why the food was so bad. I had the monkfish gnocchi and honestly, it was inedible. It didn’t look appetising and it didn’t taste very nice either. My friend had a pasta dish and her pasta was too thick. My boyfriend’s lamb chops were over cooked and over salted. For us, there are better places in Zadar and I wouldn’t recommend.More

Outstanding experience with waiter Domagoj. Delicious seafood, soups, desserts and wine selection (local gems). One of the best dining experiences ever in Zadar. Great atmosphere & views. Very attentive service. Will definitely return again.

Kornat is a wonderful restaurant. The food is sophisticated, really delicious. The products are fresh (fish of the day). The waiters are very nice. We paid around 40€ for two (not expensive). Cherry on the top : really nice view on the port!
