La Cuxina is a small restaurant on a green opening of a busy tourist street at the ancient centre of Pula. We were a group os seven, sitting on the terrace under tall trees. For starters we had calamari and octopus salad (both perfectly cooked and spiced, they were melting in the mouth), calamari and motar (Crithmum maritimum) pate on... More

It's rare to end up in a place without any positive features. Our waiter was unfriendly bordering on hostile, dismissively answering our question with "it's chicken in a chicken sauce". The fresh lemonade was watered down to a feeble (yet probably homeopathic) degree. My wife ordered a gin & tonic opting for the cheaper gin rather than Beefeater - yes,... More

Restaurant is placed in tourist street and therefore service is as expected, impolite. :) Great carpaccio.

Turistic restaurant in the main touristic street of the town. Good the beefsteak my gf ordered. The meat was of good quality as the cooking point. I took steak with polenta cooked in red wine. It was a little too cooked and it didn't taste much. Wine of the house was ok. Didn't dare to try the fish.... Price fairly... More

We ate here three times. When I tell you that we had half-board at the hotel that tells enough about this restaurant. If you have a chance order catch of the day, but if any chance (and at least 4, but preferably even more people) order Zubatac. They really know how to prepare this fish. And then ask for Nedeljko... Great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Wide choice of meats, regional cuisine. Donkey burger is very interesting!

I had the steak with truffle sauce and it was simply delicious. So much so, I wanted to return the next day and have that same dish again. Don't be put off by the business of the restaurant and terrace, it is good food.

We were supposed to wait 15 minutes according to the restaurant owner. We finally wait 30 minutes and then a waiter set up a table for us. 5 minutes later, the owner moved us pretending the owners of the souvenir shop would freak out seeing the table just in front of the shop window. ANYWAY, the first meal coming was... More

In the city center but very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. As first plate we ate traditional Istrian food and taste was excellent. After w e took the fish and fiorentina steak and it was nice. Istrian Malvasia wine was OK... All in all good value for money !
