One of the best meals I've ever had. Saw this on a recommended list. We weren't sure about going given it was quite far but we were so glad we did. Everything about it was divine, my partner and I got starters and mains and...each of them were stellar. Service was excellent. And it was very reasonable for something of that quality. One to go out of your way for.More

What an excellent experience! Amazing food, brilliant service, couldn't ask for more. Don't be put off by the location by a fairly busy road (you can't hear it from inside!) or the understated exterior, this place is WELL worth a visit (or two!). Bought the...cookbook so we can try and recreate some of their food at home! Book early to avoid disappointment!!More

All 4 meals where exceptional! The fish was amazingly fresh and cooked to perfection. The beef fillet had a mouthwatering port and truffle sauce and ox cheeks were slow cooked and incredibly tender! Highly recommend!

We got a warm welcome at the restaurant and the owner himself was serving drinks and food. Every course was delightful arranged and perfect in taste. I have no bad words and can only recommend this little gem!

We visited here upon recommendation on our first night in Croatia. There were 4 of us (2 couples) & we got 3 different mains. The steak wasn’t nice & was overcooked. The burger was extremely processed & inedible. The swordfish (2 of us had this)...was pretty good but a tiny portion. Service was good albeit very slow service on the drinks. Atmosphere was weird, like being a cafe in a museum. Would not recommend this place and we were really worried afterwards that this was the standard of food in Croatia but we’ve been out to restaurants 6 nights since and this was by far the worst place. We even had to go and get pizzas afterwards as we were starving.More

Hi Nikki First of all, we are very sorry that the place we've been pouring our hearts and souls into for the past 9 years has left such a bad impression on you. That's the part of the reply that comes from an emotional/personal place...More

Beautiful food in a relaxed setting. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. You need to book in advance as the restaurant is small. It's recommended by locals so you know it's going to be great!

Really nice atmosphere! It is a bistro. The menu is simple, but exceptional. They also have some options out of the main menu, which may vary depending on when you go. Staff are amazing, just like their food. You won’t be disappointed if you decide...to go there.More

Food was good, I recommend the sea bream. Staff were very friendly, I would recommend. Carrot and Ginger soup could have used a little more spice/salt.

This restaurant is unassuming from the outside and not in the smartest area but the moment we walked in the door we were greeted warmly, the editors could not have been nicer, without being overly attentive. The food was certainly some of the best we...had in Croatia, and a bit different from what we had had elsewhere. Monkfish and prawn patties, fish pate eclair, spring rolls followed by beautifully tender beef cheeks, and deserts of almond cake and semifredo. Would certainly recommend and worth a taxi ride out if you are not in Lapad.More

Worth remember that late afternoon/evening requires table booking. We have visited Pantarul around 3pm and it wasn't crowded. Restaurant is very cosy and staff is excellent. We have enjoyed starters from the standard menu; crispy spring rolls and delicious fish tartare - adding cottage cheese...on side was great idea :) Main courses from summer menu: risotto with tender prawns - very aromatic with all the spices and garlic, and tasty tagliatelle with octopus and cuttlefish ragu. Everything was worth recommendation :) We were positively surprised with the wines from Kolaric and Tomac wineries :) Thank you for great experience!More

Good value, we all enjoyed it a lot. Excellent service. For wine highly recommend the Karisma Red. Would have been nice if it had a terrace - maybe there was one we didn't see.

We saw the good reviews and decided to try it. Got luck as there had been a cancellation 30 mins before we arrived; they only have maybe 10 tables so best to book. My wife ordered a starter with fois gras thinking it was pate....Of course it wasnt, it was chicken livers on brioche with apple slices and vanilla sauce. So I swapped with her. Now I hate offal but I ignored what my head was telling me...and it tasted amazing. Really superb flavours. Great flavours, the staff are very clearly very passionate about their food, it was a relly nice meal.More
