About
Here at restaurant Kopun we take great pride at our efforts to bring back some of the old Croatian recipes handed down through centuries. Rich history of our country is a perfect place to search for variety in cuisine as Croatia is incredibly diverse country despite relatively small territorry it encompasses. This diversity developed throughout the turbulent history of this country fueled by a myriad of different cultural influences that we as a people came in touch with. It's time to explore...

Great spot tucked away on top of the Shame Stairs (let's face it, if said in from of at Ignatius Church you wouldn't know where to find it:)). Fabulous traditional food, great service and a beautiful location. If you are lucky enough to have Ana...around, your dinner will become an experience. Absolute legend!More

We had dinner at this restaurant on Friday. The staff was very helpful. We eat starter (ham and cheese selection and an octopus salad) which both were excellent. for the main dish, all of us choose something different. I must point out my dish "kopun...s njokima od sira" which was amazing. However, all of the dishes were very tasty. We had a wine that was good too all in all , a very nice experience, a nice location, and helpful staff.More

Bardzo klimatyczna restauracja z pysznym jedzeniem i świetną obsługą. Kelner Anthon tworzy cały klimat tego miejsca. Takich kelnerów to dziś już baaardzo mało. Polecam! Very atmospheric restaurant with delicious food and great service. Waiter Anthon creates the whole atmosphere of this place. Today there aren't...many such waiters. Highly recommend!More

Really good food, amazing scenery at night time and very friendly staff. We didn’t have a booking and on a very busy night for them the very friendly front of house lady managed to fit us in (Apologies but we don’t know her name). The...cold fish platter for starter was amazing and not something you have every day. The main was lovely. The only thing we weren’t crazy about was dessert which can only be described as a strange ice cream block. But overall great experience and would highly recommend.More

We went on the last night of our trip and had some really excellent food. The setting is lovely, and the service was also very good. The seafood stew was amazing! It was a bit on the pricey side, but it was worth it.

The restaurant is especially famous for capon (rooster). The historically recreated dish from old Dubrovnik cookbooks is on the menu and I tried it, it was absolutely epic, the sauce of the meat is a combination of figs, apricots, wine and prošek and was really...delicious! I returned to the restaurant to try a creation of julienned calamars in a sweet spicy sauce which was epic, the beetroot salad with cheese was incredible.More

Kopun = Capon in Croatian and there were a few chicken dishes. The restaurant cooks ‘historic’ recipes as well as more modern offerings. The meal was good and rounded off with complementary fig liqueurs. Great location outside St Ignatious at the top of the ancient...stairs.More
