Traditional Croatian dishes at their best, the Kopun is beautifully situated opposite the Cathedral and at the top of the 'Steps of Shame'. It's busy and likely crowded but the staff are excellent, very attentive and waiting times are perfectly acceptable. There were five of...us who went and we all loved the food so much we went back a second time; our last evening in the City and a special occasion. If you're in Dubrovnik you must try it at least once.More

We went to Kopun for dinner as we wanted to taste some traditional Croatian dishes other than seafood. The seating outside, facing the majestic cathedral, is beautiful. The menu is varied and offers dishes not found in other restaurants. Their specialty is of course the...kopun. Some of the dishes we tried were better than others. High five for the black ink risotto with scallops: prepared to perfection. The chicken dish was nice but the traditional meat dish was disappointing: the meat, although bathing in sauce, was quite dry.More

We visited Kopun two days ago for lunch at about 2 p.m. and got a table right away under the very pleasantceiling fan which cooled the air in the middle of hot July afternoon. We have chosen two seafood daily menues which included very light...and fresh "mediterranian" salad and seafood tris with lovely pate and marinated shrimps, followed by grilled calamari with very interesting beetroot salad for my friend and a huge bowl of fish stew (brudet) with polenta for me. Everything was delicious especially the chocolate cake for desert. Although they offer rather a small selection of wine by glass we have chosen a lovely Italian prosecco and Dubrovnik local malvasia and were not dissapointed. All in all it was not cheap but it was a good value for money. We were still full well after supper time but felt light and energetic enough to go to the excellent theatre performance at Dubrovnik Summer Festival. What a day!More

Never leave Dubrovnik without visiting this restaurant! If you are looking for wine and dine + value for money, this is it! Fantastic local, traditional and autentic cuisine in great surroundings, paired with great Croatian wine suggestions by the excelllent and skilled Ivana. We have...never been disappointed and will always come back. Best regards, James & AnettMore

The restaurant is well located and the food is tasty, specially the Adriatic seafood starter. We ordered mussels and its sauce was a bit heavy in the end and we did not finish it.

Good food and friendly service - no complaints, however nothing that would make this so amazing to give five stars. All of our waiters and waitresses were really attentive and we liked the food. Can recommend this place without hesitation.

Superb food. Located at the top of the stairs of shame. Fabulous choices and different from other restaurants. The vegetarian option was so nice. Would highly recommend.

On the top of the steps of the "Walk of Shame", it is a great location. I wasn't too enthused by the food, although it was different from what you eat at other places. The carob seeds in the chocolate were not a very tasty...choice. And the octopus sauce - not too great. But the waiters were nice and the portions generous.More

After a long day of touring we sat down to enjoy a lovely dinner and local wines at Kopun. The fish was fresh and delicious. Seating was covered and had a nice breeze for a summer night.

We had an early evening meal and chose the seafood set menu and meat set menu. Started were Mediterranean salad, small and tasty. I have calamari with tomato and mushroom ragout and a beetroot and walnut salad. Tasty but presentation not special. Husband had steak...on a bed of kale and potato . Plenty of it. Nice light chocolate cake for dessert. Red and White House wines were very goodMore

This is one of our last nights in Dubrovnik and of all the places we have eaten this was by far the saddest, we’d walked past the restaurant a few times when they had a live band, and the vibe looked fantastic so we thought...we’d give it a go. My friend and I had the set menu which was a really affordable price at 169 Kunas. The size of the Mediterranean salad was laughable, there wasn’t even a single olive in in mine, in a Mediterranean salad. As for the mains the ‘steak’ was a tiny little minute steak over some greens and baby potatoes with some garlic and mustard on the side. Now I understand fine dining, I’m a manager at a pretty nice restaurant back where I’m from. But this was disappointing the staff weren’t too accommodating either. All in all I can say wholeheartedly that the experience was an absolute disappointment, and I recommend that anyone that’s actually hungry not waste your time eating here.More
