About
Konoba Jezuite cherishes this tradition through the dishes served daily in the peaceful and cozy ambiance of our establishment. It is not only about the old recipes but also about following the centuries-old way of living from the land, trade, winemaking and fishing. Just as every dish in the Konoba Jezuite has its own story, every story is firmly rooted in tradition. Only one homemade product has come to be thanks to those who worked in the fields and shared their knowledge and skills with younger generations. Only one fish from the sea is the result of the hundred years-long fishing tradition being passed on from one generation to another in the Dubrovnik families. Even though the social structure

One of the best restaurants, if not the best, in Dubrovnik. This places is not to be missed but make sure you make a reservation because otherwise it would be hard to get a table. The staff is wonderful, food is delicious and since it...was my daughter's 12th, it was a good little celebration with the staff getting a cake with candle. This place offers amazing overall experience and at that price its a bargain.More

Unfortunately truly tourist trap. The waitor (an older male) was very kind but forgot about us. I was here celebrating my birthday with my boyfriend and first of all we got totally forgotten and had to wait an hour for the first course. That however...was not the real issue. The first course (a bruchetta with anchovies) was awful, the bread super dry and I am not sure where the bruchetta part was. It was not accurate with the description in the menu, and neither did the burger, which was very dry and not very pleasant. The fries were OK (very hard to mess up french fries tho). Again the waiter was kind but the food and the waiting time was not OK, and we were there late at about 21:30 pm (hence not in the real rush hours).More

The location is one of the best, but the food and the service were under average. We have waited a lot till the waiter came, the glass of wine was not cold( they didn’t charge it because I commented about, but otherwise..) and also asked...for another salad because it was too small. We have finished the meals and the salad didn’t arrive. We had as a starter anchovies bruschetta and as a main tuna steak and some fish brodetto The food for me was more than basic Wouldn’t recommend a place like this for anythingMore

It’s shameful to see that restaurants at such an amazing location within the old town have chefs who are not able to proper serve simple dishes. We ordered several dishes and they were each made up as an amateur dish. The salads are better prepared...at McDonalds, the fish was way overcooked, the beef was raw and the bruschetta was made according to their own style which one should better name toasted bread with fish! Such a disappointment! If you are going here for drinks, than that would be ok. Skip this restaurant if you want to proper eat diner!More

We had lunch here when we first arrived to the old city. We were staying in Lapard beach (15min taxi) so dropped our bags off by the old city and went for a wonder. We came across this quiet square where they were happy to...seat us in the shade. We had mussels and a salad and it was perfect for our first lunch in the city. Would recommend.More

We sat at the garden. A beautifull place, very romantic place with perfect live music to set the mood. The service was very good. This is a «nice» but somehow casual restaurant. The food was very good. Tha beef steak was perfectly cooked. The price...was also not that expencive.More

First I want to say that the food we had at this lovely restaurant was very good. The location and atmosphere was lovely - an oasis of calm in a city packed with tourists BUT - and it’s a big but - we want to...mention a couple of things which made us drop the star rating. We visited first in the late morning, just for drinks and a break from the hustle & bustle. Our waiter found us a table in the shade and served our drinks quickly and with style. Very friendly and helpful. While we were enjoying the drinks and the atmosphere a party of five arrived and asked for a table. They were kept standing, in the full sun, for at least ten minutes while a waiter set the table up. He worked so slowly we couldn’t believe it. Every item he put on the table was placed, adjusted and adjusted again. All the while the customers, who were clearly very hot and tired were kept waiting. They were on the pointing when they were finally seated However we liked the place so much we decided to come back later for something to eat and so booked a table for 4pm When we arrived we were seated in a lovely spot under a shady plum tree. It looked like we arrived in the middle of a shift change and while they were setting up for the evening So we sat waiting for someone to take our order or at least offer us a drink for over quarter of an hour. All the while there were three or four waiters noisily setting up tables around us, only two other tables out of 40 or more were occupied In the end we had to go and ask for our order to be taken There was no apology for keeping us waiting and the noise from the setting up increased because they were dragging tables and chairs rather than lifting them When the waiter asked us at the end of our meal if everything had been alright I mentioned the long wait and he just shrugged and said “We were busy” As I said above, our food was delightful but it seems like they are more focussed on getting every table, chair, knife and fork into a precise position than looking after their customers It may have been our timing was poor with the shift change but they need to focus on serving the customers rather than lining up tables perfectlyMore

We had a great meal here. The food was the best we had in Dubrovnik - really tasty fish and seafood. The outdoor atmosphere was great, and the staff friendly. Part of the restaurant is in the Square in front of the church - like...you can see in the pictures - but we were sat like most diners in the walled garden just to the side. It’s much more private, and the tables are well spaced, and you don’t feel you’re eating in the middle of a busy Street like so many Dubrovnik restaurants. Their cocktails are good, and they have a good selection of beers including non-alcoholic. There’s even a guy playing Hotel California and similar on a classical guitar - and it’s good!More

If you’re visiting with your significant other to Dubrovnik, this restuarant must be your priority! Me and my partner were staying on cavtat and travelled here last night as it was our last day of our holiday and also our anniversary. They gave us a...complimentary glass of champagne each. There was live music all night from a woman with a beautiful voice. This made for such a romantic atmosphere and made our night that bit more special. The wait staff were extremely polite and calming and gave some quality service the whole night. The food was to die for and so reasonably priced, the cocktails were the same. The restaurant is gorgeously decorated and each table is lit up with a lamp at night. IF YOURE GOING BOOK THE GARDEN! it’s so much more intimate. the main part is right in a square and so you have no privacy and have people walking past you constantly.More

IN Dubrovnik for 4 nights and booked a table for 12 for one of our family celebrations. Our waiter was wonderful making sure the children were taken care of with gluten free pasta (half of our party is gluten free). The seafood special with polenta...was wonderful as were the octopus salad and shrimp risotto. The mussels were also a hit. The beefsteak was excellent. We sat in the open courtyard for a 7pm reservation and by that time the sun was not an issue. The setting was truly magical.More
