About
Dubrovnik's gem where diners enjoy a beautiful fusion of Dalmatian and Japanese cuisine. A unique place in the Old City to taste fresh oysters grown at the oyster farm in nearby Mali Ston Bay. We visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from the lady who let our holiday apartment to us. The food was excellent! I ordered a tuna ‘spring roll’ (crispy breadcrumbed fried roll filled with fish and cream cheese) as well as two types of sushi....All the fish was fresh and tasted amazing, the seasonings were well balanced and appetising. My companion doesn’t like fish but luckily there was something for him, he ordered a meat spring roll and teriyaki beef, which he really enjoyed. We had room for pudding so ordered a banana and chocolate cake as well as a slice made with (if memory serves) dates and chocolate with a cream cheese icing. Both were very good but the date slice stole the show, it was just sweet enough and had a lovely texture. Wine was excellent, the waitress was very friendly, knowledgable, and happy to recommend things. Great food, great service, thank you!More

After persuading my partner to dine here, he was not disappointed. The food was just amazing and very affordable. The setting was beautiful and the vibe was perfect. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I’d of dined again had we not found this great...place at the end of our holiday. They are very small so I advise booking for more than 2 people or during peak times. If I visit Dubrovnik again, this restaurant will be on my to do list!!More

We shared 4 dishes between 2 and were delighted with the quantity and price. One dish was so good that we ordered it again purely because of its taste. Service was great and the setting was lovely in the old town. We particularly enjoyed to...eat sushi as most restaurants in Dubrovnik share a similar cuisine. Would definitely eat here again.More

Excellent sushi & oysters in a beautiful passage off the cathedral square. Such a lovely setting with terrace overlooking the cathedral with delicious local oysters and beautifully constructed and delicious sushi. Piano music filled the air while local cats looked on longingly. Our server Dražen...was wonderful & attentive. A wonderful experience for our last night in Dubrovnik.More

Absolutely lovely food and ambiance. Quite affordable and good quality food compared to some other restaurants in the old town. Nestled in an intimate corner of the old town, it had lovely atmosphere for a couple, group or even a single diner. Our server Josipa...was very friendly and accommodating, and had great recommendations. Absolutely would return for another experience.More

Experience was amazing. My fiancée Taylor and I were craving something a little different, and after hearing amazing things about the Bota Sare restaurant group, we thought to give this place a try while we were in Dubrovnik. Amazing food, some of the best (if...not the best) sushi we’ve ever had. Tuna Tartare was outstanding, and all was paired with a great local wine by our server, Josipa. While the food could have stood on its own, the attentiveness of Josipa made our experience stick out over the many restaurants we ate at over our vacation. She was extremely attentive and friendly, helped us navigate the menu with ease, and we were never wanting for anything. In fact, it was so good that we’re going again on our last night! In the sea of outstanding restaurants in Dubrovnik, this restaurant really stands out.More

Without doubt the best sushi we’ve ever eaten. Every bite was incredible. Beautiful setting, especially if your seat looks onto the old church. Josipa served us. Despite almost everyone being so friendly in Dubrovnik she really stood out. The owner also owns Bowa, a seafood...restaurant on in island outside the city. We were interested in going there but kept hearing it was an ‘Instagram place’ and often attended by celebrities. This sort of put us off the idea as it sounded like it was just a place to be seen at but after speaking to Josipa about how truly nice it was and tasting the food at Bota Sare we would definitely visit Bowa on a return trip to Dubrovnik. Would come back to Oyster & Sushi Bar too.More

It’s simple sushi, with a lot of quality on the fish they present. Not too fancy, not complicated just food which tastes great. Specially the tuna, it’s amazing… melts on the mouth,it’s so rich. We tried the sashimi and carpaccio tuna, both delicious. The waiters...were very kind, the service went smoothly. Will definitely come backMore

Delicious food. We've planed to visit this restaurant since before we start the trip to Dubrovnik. One of the reasons us because I'm oysters lover and I want to try local oysters here. But sushi is also my favourites food!! So why not try both...here? We started with 6 oysters and a glass of local sparkling wine. It's superb even though the oysters are quite small. Later we ordered beef steak terriyaki (I love it!!!), salmon sashimi and some more sushi rolls and ended up with chokolate banana cake with a little cup of espresso. The atmostphere is lovely and cozy, not as busy as other areas in the old town. Staff are very nice and friendly especially Drazen! He took quick action when we ordered, he also suggested a very nice tuna sushi with crispy deep fried on a roll. He's professional in serving not only the food but also great hospitality that for me it's rarely find in many restaurants here. I would highly recommend this place!More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant for oysters but we got so much more than that. Bota is a cute little spot along the beautiful Croatian walls, up the stairs from the Italian restaurant. The staff is very accommodating and immediately shifted our table after we...requested to sit away from the smokers next to us. The menu is simple, the food was delicious and quick, the ambiance just right and, best of all, we were greeted and assisted by Drazen who knew his way around the menu and delivered excellent service during our dinner. It's rare to find servers who care about people these days, Drazen stood out because he connected with us on food and humor. He took the time to help us navigate and to find the "best" choices. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would be back again.More
