We was advised by the hotel staff to try this cafe festival for lunch WOW the staff are amazing nothing was to much they was relaxed and smiling through out our lunch, yeloner was very chatty and made us welcome from the start, the two barman was there waiting on us cool dudes.
Our lunch turned into lunch/stroke dinner and was simply put, amazing, we paid compliments to the chef as all the food is homemade.
Would highly recommend 5*****

We were greeted by very welcoming staff. The service is fast and the waiters are very helpful in getting an order just right when you have kids. The breakfast is just wonderful. Visiting in August a freshly pressed orange juice was so refreshing as it's already 25+ degrees in the morning.

My server was Miho and all I wanted was a bottle of Veuve (which is on their menu) but he informed me they were out of that particular brand. He offered tastings of their other champagnes and I chose a glass I was not particularly happy with, simply because I wanted bubbly. Within less than 30 minutes Miho arrived with a bottle of Veuve but said it needed to be chilled. I was so astonished that he 'found' exactly what I was looking for! I was celebrating a special occasion and I REALLY wanted the Veuve. I was there for at least three hours whilst I waited for my purchase to be completed. During that time Miho brought me fresh fruit, a cheese plate and was kind enough to watch my bags whilst I went down the street to listen to players on the violin playing Shubert. I was never charged for the food. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to any who like people watching, GREAT service and pride in serving foreigners!

We visited Cafe Festival for breakfast on our first day in Dubrovnik. Our hotel recommended it and also gave us a discount voucher which they said would mean we would pay about half the price on the menu, which all sounded great! However, after arriving and browsing the breakfast menu, we presented our voucher to the waiter who then gave us a completely separate menu. The food was of smaller portions to the main menu so felt like we were still paying for what we got, and the food was average at best (we had an omelette & the bacon and egg special). We found the service to be quite unfriendly too. The restaurant is however in a great location on The Stradun. We did also come here for cocktails one evening, great place to people watch and cocktails were lovely, especially the pornstar martini I’d highly recommend.

My favorite place for morning coffee in Dubrovnik! The owner is really nice and friendly, I am vegetarian so they asked what I eat and even made me a special dish. Really appreciate it as it was so hard to find anything to eat elsewhere. Really good location!!

I arrived at this cafe around half past noon on a Sunday in search of breakfast. I wasn’t very hopeful as it was quite late but they were so lovely and accommodating and served me the best breakfast I had in nearly three weeks in Croatia! Food was great, atmosphere was welcoming, and it’s a prime people-watching location when you’re traveling solo. My waiter was Miho, and he was also so sweet! I came in search of a quick breakfast and left both full and refreshed. 10/10.

Way too expensive. Tourists need to be careful because the price doesn't equal the quality.
There are much better restaurants and cafes around the Old City that are much cheaper.
(Example: 1 capuccino was 33 kunas which is around 4.4€)

My husband and I visited Festival cafe for breakfast on 1st January. Inspite of the town celebrating New year's Eve till early hours of morning, the cafe was open and active. Miho gave us fantastic service, provided vegetarian meals as per our request. He was very warm to speak to. Hot chocolate, Orange juice and Miho's service made for a fabulous start to the new year. Definitely recommend and will visit again when we come to Dubrovnik.

We had a quick coffee there, lured by a prominent sign stating "espresso 12 kn". When asked for the bill, the waiter promptly printed one for 50 kunas for 2 espressos. Then he suddenly stopped understanding English when I objected. I brought him outside, pointed towards the sign and explained in Croatian that the bill should be for 24 kunas, not 50. Still he pretended not to understand. At this point his boss stepped in, asked him to change the bill to 24 kn and apologised. Then it took them ages to produce change from 100 kunas but I made the point to insist on getting it down to every single kuna.
A less assertive customer would have been ripped off. That was probably the business model. Avoid!
For comparison - in other places in Croatia an espresso is usually 7-8 kunas, sometimes up to 10, for invariably excellent coffee and friendly service.

We had breakfast and it was absolutely fantastic. All the food was fresh and moreover the place is located in the main avenue and has fair prices. Miho was our waiter and he was so kind and attentive with us all the time, we felt very comfortable wtih him. 10/10! I would highly recommend it for everyone!

Had lunch there, and a couple of cocktails. Food was lovely, and the level of inebriation experienced from the cocktails led to us taking this photo on the walls. It felt arty at the time.

Dubrovnik is incredibly quiet during the off-season, and a lot of restaurants close and are minimally staffed. I walked into another restaurant and there were two diners and no staff to be seen. I walked past a sushi place with an employee sitting inside looking as though she was rethinking her entire life's choices.
Then I finally walked past Cafe Festival, and the menu looked quite nice. There was a waiter standing outside and seemed pretty excited that someone wanted to eat there. There were two ladies there before me, drinking their post-meal coffee. Otherwise, it was quiet. On a Saturday night!
The seafood risotto was just okay. Rice properly cooked, but some of the seafood was slightly chewy. Still, it had nice flavors. The cocktail "Steps" or "Stairs" can't remember which, was very sweet with a huge ice cube. At 20€ it seemed like a slight rip-off.
But what I'll say is that it was nice that a restaurant was actually open in January. The food was nice. It feels like a safe bet, you're probably paying premium prices if you want really fancy food elsewhere.

I am a little disappointed with our visit today. Coffee was mediocre....we ordered 2 cappuccinos, and they were in tiny cups and all froth, and we couldn't taste the coffee! The cake was delicious, but the waiter asked us to pay, and we felt rushed even though the restaurant wasn't full at the time.

We had very low expectations walking into this place. It’s in the heart of the tourist area, and usually these places are overpriced, the service is typically not good, and the food is subpar. Our experience here was incredible. They were extremely busy, but we were patient. We got a table right in front of the bar. I had a veggie burger and my partner had the lasagna. She is super picky and ate every bite. The food was incredible. Wine was solid and the beer was cold. Above all our server Miho was incredible. He had a super kind spirit, laughed with us, and was just genuinely a good person. We will 1000% be back. Super plus was the music was a whole vibe. Mihoooo we love you and will be back.

If you want to sit in a beautiful restaurant with live piano music on the main street of Dubrovnik, this place is your best choice. You will have not only tasty, fresh food, but also a beautiful concert.
We walked on the street and suddenly heard a nice music. And we found our one of the favourite cafes in Dubrovnik. Way!
Very friendly waiters - Teo and Miho. They give you a lot of smiles and jokes. Thank you for your work.
We like to come back to this restaurant. We have already tried chicken wings, wines, fresh juices, chicken salad, coffee coctails, cakes. All were gorgeous! And we had nice compliments from the house - cake "Festival" - thank you!
I recommend this restaurant.
