We visited Lady PiPi after spotting it whilst walking the city walls. It is covered by grapevine and looked so inviting, so after walking the walls we made our way to the restaurant (up lots of steps!). The food is kept simple, there is an open bbq and everything cooked in front of us. We had a simple grilled chicken salad each but it was full of flavour. We also shared a carafe (after being advised this was more economical than 2 glasses of wine!). The owners were very friendly and accommodating and offered us some grapes from the vine too. Would highly recommend.

Lady Pi Pi was the best meal we had in Dubrovnik. The food was spectacular and the atmosphere incredible. It is located in the old town at the top of a LOT of stairs. However this journey is worth it for the food. There is only seating outdoors and so it is closed when it rains but it is covered by grape vines giving it a stunning look. There is a view out of the city which is amazing. If you go there then we highly recommend getting something that is grilled as you can see them grill it on the grill and also it is far more flavoursome and delicious than anything else. We got the grilled chicken and the mixed platter which came with fries and grilled vegetables. It was incredible. We also ordered the shrimps but they were boiled so not nearly as tasty or special. The staff were kind and cooperative and the chefs were friendly. The price is also not too high and you get a good portion of food. Overall, an incredible restaurant we highly recommend!

Lady Pi-Pi will catch your eye at first due to its name, and because it’s famous to go there for dinner, however, we went for lunch. Beware, first, you have to waddle up the stairs as it’s located beneath the old walls, but it is totally worth it. They have an interesting statue in front of the restaurant, representing the name.  It has definitely the best view in all of Dubrovnik.  It is very inviting, seating outside on the terrace with a view that also people who weren’t eating came in and took pictures. Note it is the only place in Dubrovnik's old town, which is permitted to have an outside grill. The waitress was very nice and also gave us some recommendations. We ordered seafood, as this is what you should get when in Croatia.   To be more precise we ordered the Seafood platter for two, which was more food in the end than we expected. We also had a fresh salad with it. The platter for two is a great choice if you want to try various seafood, not just the catch of the day.  They grilled it to perfection and we even watched as they did so. It consists of a tuna steak, tiger shrimps, fish fillets, mussels, squit, and grilled vegetables. The flavor was great, mixed nicely with the seasoning and grilling.  One more tip, in case you plan to go for dinner make sure to make a reservation as they are always full. Although the Facebook page says no reservation, the waitress told us they are full during dinner time and it's best to have a reservation.

We had been recommended Lady Pi-Pi by a few people so after a long day exploring the city thought it would be a great way to end the day. When we arrived we waited for over 15 minutes before someone even came over to greet us despite staff walking past us, avoiding eye contact and avoiding us politely saying hello. When they finally came over, they told us it would be a 20 minute wait which we said was fine as had been looking forward to coming here. After finally being seated after a very long wait, the staff were rude, abrupt, wouldn’t smile, brought us over the wrong order of wine but despite this we enjoyed our fresh fish dinner and had a good time. The icing on the cake though was when we asked to pay, they rudely stomped over, asked which card we were paying with, when we said ‘a visa and a MasterCard please’ then responded ‘no that’s not possible it has to be on one card’. We blankly look at each other as this is a very strange response and say ‘ok how much is it then?’ in order to see if we have enough cash. I am then completely shocked when the waitress says ‘ oh I don’t know around 400 kuna’, I then ask her to go and get us the bill so we can see in which she is very annoyed at. The whole experience was quite shocking to be honest and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there as the food was ok but the experience was terrible!!!!

This is amazing restaurant in old city of Dubrovnik. Hidden and charming. You will have to wait in the line to get your seat bit it is worthy. Waitress was so prefessional, helpful and nice. Terrace of this outdoor restaurant is perfectly designed. Everything is so pretty. We ordered tuna steak with veggies and bream with homemade french fries, salad and cheesecake. Service was fast, portions were good and food was delicious and well prepared. Well done! We will visit tjis place again for sure!

Lovely little restaurant tucked away on the back streets, with beautiful vines running throughout giving a unique feel. Views of the old town and sea from the upper area. Friendly and welcoming staff We had fresh sea bass cooked on the grill with home made fries which was delicious. Great wine and beer Couldn’t ask for anything more

We arrived there at 6 pm and waited till 7 pm to be seated. Don't understand why they don't take reservations. After getting seated, we ordered a cheese platter as an appetizer, grilled squid with seasonal vegetables as a main dish and Lady Pi Pi's house white wine. The cheese platter was extremely underwhelming. The cheeses tasted cheap and like they were bought at a local supermarket. Since I live in Croatia, I can assure you that the quality of our local cheeses is way better than this. Also, we didn't even get the olive oil with the cheese (which is usually served together with cheese), so that was also a miss. Regarding the grilled squid, it tasted bitter. Grilled squid is supposed to taste lovely - tender and sweet but this was not it. It was also served with plain boiled green beans which is unsual combination since in Croatia, grilled squid is traditionally served with boiled potatotes and Swiss chard. The green beans were probably frozen and therefore a cheaper option, rather than a deliberate culinary choice. As far as the wine goes, I really enjoyed it. It was good. I do have to say that the location is nice, especially if you manage to catch a place up on the terrace that has a view on the city (but you can't choose a seat and you have to hope to get lucky that somebody from the terrace leaves at the time you should be seated). As far as the waiters goes, they were pretty decent, but the prices are definitely over the top considering the quality of the dish you get. Overall, if you are looking for a proper local cousine experience, this is not it. It might look like it, but honestly this is a skilfuly masked tourist trap.

There was a good 30-40 min wait before we could get into Pi-Pis but we thought that the repute proceeded it and waited it out. It so happened that we made some international friends whilst waiting and managed to grab a table with them too. The food here was the best we had during our entire trip. The ambiance is great here and has a super authentic, rustic feel about it. The person waiting on our table was super accommodating and friendly, especially since our two parties were paying by differently. The mixed grill for two was amazing and, coming from someone who isn't usually bothered with mixed grill, that's saying something. I sampled our friends seafood platter too and that also seemed incredible. I quote 'it was the best seafood platter we've had here'.

Had heard amazing things online about this place and had read great reviews so was expecting a lot. When we arrived at opening time there was already a queue with expected wait time of an hour. We had already read about the waiting times online so this was no surprise to us, and had gone expecting this so that was fine. Whilst in the queue there were people saying they had already been once that week and went back as it was so good, so this only added to our excitement. The four of us waited just under an hour and were seated at the very entrance to the restaurant. This was a little disappointing as it meant there were no views or sunset, and everyone waiting in line was kind of looking over us as we ate. However, we quickly forgot about them watching and just had a nice time. The wine was fantastic and had a lovely recommendation by the waitress. On that note, all of the servers were absolutely fantastic. Incredibly hard working and friendly, constantly running around to every table. The food was very disappointing. We ordered the sharing platters. One meat, and one fish. They were large trays of a selection of each with sides mixed in the platter amongst the meat and fish. When it came out i was excited as it all looked delicious but actually the taste was very average. The fish was very overcooked and the meat was all very salty regardless of which cut you picked. We ended up leaving quite a lot of the food and left hungry as we just couldn't stomach how overly salty it was. It was still a nice evening with wine and atmosphere but i don't really understand the hype. The price was okay but a little pricey as Croatia is in general now. i wouldn't recommend it to my friends and i wouldn't go back if i was in the area

After researching the decent restaurants in Dubrovnik , we decided to try this one!On the night we came, there was a long queue, but we managed to get a table within 5mins of waiting luckily as a table for two became free! I like this place because it is simple, good food in a lovely traditional setting. Lovely little place, unique, with vine trees and an open area. Table not huge but nice and cosy for two. We had a good bottle of wine, with a cheese platter to start. Waitress very friendly and chatty. My husband had a meat mixed grill and I had the squid off the bbq, all cooked perfectly. We really enjoyed the evening! Thank you Lady Pi Pi!

We came here after seeing the restaurant on Instagram and the food did not disappoint. We got the seafood platter for two and a side of chips. The food was fresh, hand cut chips and the tuna and seabass were really out of this world. The restaurant is a lovely little setting for dinner, although you'll need to climb a few steps to get there from the old town. However, the staff were rude and seemed to be bothered by everyone's presence. Worth a visit for the food though.

Excellent sea food. We both had the sea bass and loved it. The view is great. Come for lunch instead of dinner to avoid the queue. This one made me really happy: a woman wanted to light a cigarette and was told she could not smoke in the restaurant - even though it was outdoors. First place in Croatia that I have seen this and it was greatly appreciated! Smoking where others eat is really inconsiderate.

I came across the restaurant through chance walking around the city, they have an open grill and the smell was amazing. The restaurant is on a terrace next to the city wall, open to the elements aside from the grape vines. This gave the restaurant a cute look and feel as well as having some great views over the city at the back. I was there in the evening so was able to catch the sunset with views over the city. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing. Would highly recommend!

Knowing that it was important to arrive early, we were there at 6 and chose a table with an outstanding view of Dubrovnik. This is a place for simply made grilled food. If that is what you are looking for you will be very happy with the outcome. We shared a grilled sea bass which was accompanied by potatoes, string beans, and lima beans. We had a 0.5L flask of the house white. Excellent not over-priced dinner in Dubrovnik.

If you reach it you have surely earned your dinner!! You must climb so many stairs......but you will be completely satisfied on arrival!! The view of the town from the terrace is wonderful, especially at sunset. Specialties are grilled fish and meat and they are very very good. In my opinion prices are a little bit too expensive and you cannot reserve a table. Considering that it was full at the end of September and we had to wait almost one hour before sitting, I cannot imagine how long it is the queue in high season! Besides the kitchen close early...... You won t be so happy if you can t dine there after all the climbing!!!
