We stopped here just for a drink and they were happy to let us do that. The local beer was nice and cold, and we decided to eat there in the end.
We got a pizza to share and it was plenty - a pizza each would have been too much. The pizza was tasty, very heavy on the cheese and I think would have been better a few more minutes in the oven to make crispier. But still good and we finished it 😀
The waiters were friendly and attentive.

We happened across this lovely restaurant on the first day of our stay and were not disappointed. We both had a gorgeous octopus salad with gorgeous bread and it was one of the beat we have ever had, and we have had a lot! The next day we wandered around perusing other menus but nothing looked as lovely as this restaurant so we went back. I had tunar tartar and this time the Turkish style bread was really complimented by their tasty olive pile. You won't have a bad meal here. The staff are so friendly and attentive but not overly so that they let you enjoy your meal. The location on the backstreet is slower pace than the main drag but you can people watch. We loved this little gem. Highly recommended.

We had the risotos (black and beef)
We’re really hungry and the portions were huge.
Tomy our server was full of knowledge and really kind. Gave us a lovely treat at the end. Nice ambiance and great staff.

We liked the look of the menu, so thought we’d give this place a try! We ordered a delicious chicken cedar salad and a platter of local cheeses and cured meats served with fluffy, fresh bread. The platter was excellent, we really enjoyed trying the local produce and everything tasted great. My partner ordered a ham and olive pizza that he really enjoyed, and I had grilled local fish served on a medley of fresh vegetables, which was excellent. This was great local food, unfussy and simply cooked to let the flavours of the ingredients shine through. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.

Went here for dinner on a Saturday in May and were enticed by their 20% off promotion. I got the Losos pasta (tagliatelle pasta with salmon) and it was excellent. The fish was very fresh and the pasta was perfectly cooked and not drowning in sauce. One of the best meals I had in Dubrovnik for sure.

The range of food on offer was good, with many interesting authentic Italian dishes. The pricing was good - we came to the old town expecting very high prices, but Nicos Trattoria was very reasonable and easy to take. The food that was served was just beautiful! The service was also excellent - very attentive without being overbearing, and certainly sincerely friendly.
We would happily eat there again if we we back in Dubrovnik and in the meantime happily recommend this family-run restaurant to anyone else who likes Italian food. Go there!!

Nico’s does not serve pizzas; they serve a food very like pizza. They were very good. The waiter and waitress were polite and friendly. The sting in the tail was a clever sleight of hand with the bill; with subtlety we were overcharged by about 2 Euros. Why? Do you really need the 2Euros? We would have put this back as a tip. Grow up.

We stumbled across this restaurant when meandering through the streets and alley ways of Dubrovnik and what a lucky find it was. We walked past just as the waiter was serving food to a group of young Americans. One look at their plates was enough to convince us to stop and sit down. Very attentive staff, lovely authentic Italian food and a great people watching location made for a perfect evening. Well worth a visit.

While other reviewers have suggested the food at this restaurant is ‘exceptional’ and ‘amazing’ I’m afraid this was not our experience. A plate of rather ordinary spaghetti bolognese for 22 euros and Cacio e Pepe - spaghetti in a cheese and pepper sauce for 17 euros - did not constitute good value. If you’ve a big appetite then beware. We were also totally underwhelmed by the measure of a glass of wine. I thought the measure I had been poured was to allow me to taste the wine. Little did I realise that was my quota ! Service was good and location convenient for the old town.

This was an exceptional meal with wonderful friendly service. This is a family run trattoria that make their own pasta, and they do it well. The front of house did their job with a friendly and knowledgeable manner, very quick to explain and assist. The cooking crew are obviously a great team because the food was presented attractively and the flavours couldn’t be faulted.
My sister and I shared a succulent Octopus Salad and a tasty Cacao o Pepe. The serves were divided in the kitchen so the food was plated beautifully.
A wonderful dining experience.

Me and my wife were on a tour guide round the city and we ended up stumbleing upon this little restraunt nikos we had gambas flatbread amazing the gambas were so fresh and sweet. My wife orderd chicken ceaser salad it was one of the best meals we've eaten in dubrovnik easily compares to some of the high end restraunts.. You need to find this place. Thank me later

The setting is pleasant because the street is away from the Stradun and therefore relatively quiet.
The service is friendly. The menu is tempting and the dishes are good but nothing more. The ravioli are served in small quantities (8 per plate). I therefore recommend risottos or gnocchi if you are hungry. The prices are those of Dubrovnik: €6 for a bottle of water, €22.60 for a pizza (smaller than in France), 24.50 for risotto or ravioli.
The restaurant is always full so I think for a first evening in town it was a good choice.

We went for lunch and took 2 salads as main course : burrata cheese salad and octopus salad. They were both good but too small for what I expected because server said they were « big salads ». For the burrata one, I was disapointed to have only small pieces instead of an entire one.
But it was good and fresh, server was very kind (more then many other places in town !). I only tought I would have more for the price.

I had a delightful experience at Nico’s Trattoria, a quaint restaurant nestled in the old town of Dubrovnik. The pomodoro pasta I ordered was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The service was top-notch and our waiter was incredibly kind. I wholeheartedly recommend Nico’s Trattoria to anyone in search of a scrumptious meal in a cozy atmosphere.

Wow and wow ! What an amazing dinner from start to finish - we were impressed with the tuna tartare little did we realize it would be completely outdone by the tender octopus, by far the best meal I have ever tasted. My wife had catch of the day sea bream, also melt in the mouth served on a bed of Mediterranean vegetables - simple but packed with flavour. The dessert of mascarpone mousse was light and a perfect end to our dinner. I would HIGHLY recommend visiting this restaurant when in Dubrovnik - great food, great service and excellent wine.
