Really disappointing dinner, that was overpriced and not the best quality. Ordered ‘fried cheese and white sauce’ thinking it may be local cheese and a lovely sauce - essentially, fried mozzarella sticks! Fish main - the fish was well cooked and tender but very salty....The other main, the meat was very processed, again very salty and just massively overpriced. Disappointed that we picked here for dinner over other restaurants nearby.More

Was looking somewhere for a nice breakfast in town. So many restaurants to choose from, but for some reason a lot don't put breakfast menus online. Lanii looked interesting so we wandered into town and spent a while comparing menus but decided that Lanii looked...like the best option for us for food and price. For breakfast they only do their 'all inclusive' menu which is €15 per person. For this you get: - coffee or tea - juice - bread (with butter/jam/Nutella) - egg option - cereal option - fruit (2 oranges) I had a lovely iced latte. Big glass and came with cream on top! The bread was really nice. Came in a basket and was warm and fresh. Orange/apple Juice was ok but nothing special. The waiter said to enjoy the bread and just let him know when we were ready to order the egg course. All very relaxed. I got fried eggs with bacon. 2 nicely fried eggs with 2 pieces of really tasty crispy bacon. My wife got the vegetable omelette. We asked what was in it and was told mushroom and carrot. When it arrived it was full of carrot and courgette. However, it was barely cooked inside and was a mess of slimy uncooked egg! We told the waiter and he quickly took it away and said they'd make another. Soon after a new omelette appeared that was perfectly cooked and lovely (but still had no mushrooms in!) Strangely the people in the table near us had mushrooms and tomato in their omelette so not sure why my wife's only had carrot and courgette. After we finished our egg course we were asked if we wanted cereal. I had cornflakes and my wife had chocolate cereal. Nice small portion but strangely came in a cup of steamed milk. Was actually nice but very unusual. (I did ask and apparently it's a thing here to eat cereal in hot milk!) Overall we had a lovely relaxed breakfast with good food and coffee. The waiter handled the omelette issue very well. Clearly the chef was having a bad day and I hope it's a one-off. Interesting breakfast concept, but it works if it's the kind of food you enjoy.More

A great place for a satisfying breakfast with lots of different items included. For 15 euros per person, we had our choice of any type of coffee - hot or cold (we had iced latte which came with whipped cream). The coffee was excellent! Then...you have eggs cooked any way (we chose 1- an omelette and 2- fried eggs with bacon on the side). It came with fresh apple cider and bread with an assortment of spreads (butter, jam, Nutella), and fresh fruit (we had 2 oranges). The most surprising item that was included was your choice of cereal (chocolate puffs, corn, or muesli) in a bowl of steamed milk. I have never had such a thing, but it was surprisingly tasty! The server, Ante, was extremely nice and very professional. We felt like we were being privately catered to. And, the location was off the busy center street in Old Town, quaint and quiet. It was a very enjoyable dining experience.More

We absolutely loved our lunch date in Lanii. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is amazing, and the ambience is great. The homemade hummus with beetroot is absolutely amazing. Food recommendations: falafel with hummus, meatballs in tomato sauce with mashed potatoes, truffle cream pasta.

5 euros for a single espresso and 9 euros for a bottle of water ( as much as a Greek salad); ok the restaurant is in the old town, but this is frankly unacceptable ‘

The meal was really bad. The portions were really small and with no taste. The prices was overpriced not only in this restaurant but in all restaurants in the area. No value for money.

Not in the habit of giving bad reviews, but the food was poor and expensive. There was a 10$ service charge. Even more the cappuccino was 9€ … criminal. The server was friendly enough. Otherwise I wouldn’t recommend eating here at all.

Enjoyed a late lunch here after spending most of the day exploring Dubrovnik and the surrounding area. Staff prepared grilled calamari and pasta coupled to a nice local white.

Perfect setting with very good service but the worst seafood pasta dish I have ever been served anywhere. Tasted like it came out of a can. Lack of seasoning as if was intended for a small child. Pasta overcooked! To it’s credit the waiter offered...to serve me something else. But who wants to be eating alone. My partner’s sea bass and veggies were beautifully seasoned. Highlight was a nice bottle of Malvasia which we both e joyed.More

Lunch. The standard fried calamari with chips, good mussels, awful seafood pasta (next time guys try putting a little seafood in, and less tomato sauce!). 515 Kuna for extremely average food plus one beer. Rubbish - go elsewhere.

Delicious food, got the chicken teriyaki and my friend got the steak, both delicious. Short walk up the steps off the main street, well worth it. Best meal we had on our trip.

After walking around Dubrovnik old town we settled here for lunch tempted in by the fish dishes written on their board and not coraled towards a table like many other places were trying to do! Freshly cooked dishes of fried little fish. calamari and the...creamiest cuttle fish risotto ever! Yes there's a wait but they cook in real time so just relax enjoy some wine and watch the world pass by! Very friendly family run restaurant good value for money, well worth a visit!More

I was a recent customer at Lanii ,not an owner, so I can't say. I think I saw fish soup on the menu.
