The service was good, but the food was terrible. We ordered teriyaki chicken and it was just chicken and rice smothered in soy sauce, super salty. The rest of the food (starters etc) was very average.

Lanii is a lovely cozy restaurant just off Stradun, in one of those charming narrow stone-paved streets. I cannot give their staff enough praise; they are absolutely dedicated to ensuring a perfect experience for their guests and will go the extra mile to fulfil all...of your dining needs. The food is simply perfect; best shrimp I've ever had (and they maintain this year after year) and the same can be said for the oysters and, of course, the fresh fish and mussles.More

Finally! Good risotto! We were in split for 5 days and the risotto was horrible in every place we went so we swore off eating risotto in croatia. The couple next to us were eating it and said it was good..the price was reasonable so...we said..wtf. let's try one more time. It was wonderful. As were the mussels, the carrot ginger soup and the market salad. We stumbled onto this place as every other place around it was booked and had lines to eat. We couldn't have been more pleased to eat here. If you get a chance, get the black risotto. FINALLY!! GOOD CROATIAN RISOTTO! Service was great as wellMore

It was very busy and we had walked up and down the upper street that this restaurant was on struggling to get a table for two. The waiter was friendly and the service was prompt and efficient. Lovely wine and food in a great setting...on a bustling street. I had the tuna with wasabi mash which I don’t have a photo of, but it was so delicious.More

Okay. So to start off the staff were incredibly nice and we really loved speaking to them. The wine was great but that’s where it ended. Let’s talk about what came out of the kitchen freezer. As you can see from the photos attached it...looks like the typical Chef was on vacation. We had *fried cheese* which translated to bowling alley style mozzarella sticks and *brie cheese* coated in breadcrumbs that definitely looked like they came pre-made. Then came the entrees….I had the spicy seafood pasta. I tried to avoid eating the *mussels/scallops/squid* they were chewy and reminded me of mozzarella cheese with a sprinkle of seafood flavoring. The mussels were preshucked and the mussels/squid were definitely a frozen seafood mix you would buy from the discount section of Lidl. The shrimp barely existed and were the size of a penny. They did make it spicy though so kudos to that. My mom got chicken teriyaki…. It was starchy and gluey. You can see by the photo the Rice is gelatinous , there was less than half a chicken breast made with it. The chicken was very thin and the julienned vegetables were soggy/flavorless. Now for the Finale…. My dad got a traditional local Bosnian sausage dish. The meat is made up of many different types (we were told). We expected something along the lines of a kofta…. Nope. My dad got a Denny style grandslam without the eggs and silver dollar pancakes. His dish looked like the Chef dropped a box of Johnsonville Brown & serve frozen breakfast sausages along with some Ore-Ida potato wedges into the fryer basket. Definitely machine formed meat. While crispy and savory he was confused as to why he was served off the breakfast menu . We did our best to eat what we could. Shoutout to the wonderfully friendly staff. The Chef must have been out of town.More

I was a recent customer at Lanii ,not an owner, so I can't say. I think I saw fish soup on the menu.
