Honestly one of the best restaurants in Dubrovnik. Very fresh seafood and everything is well prepared and seasoned: tastes very nice. Had the fried calamari, which is great. Staff are very friendly. View is really pretty over the bay.
Orhan was one of the best surprises of our stay in Dubrovnik. We were recommended to go here from a local and we were so glad we did. Sometimes we overthink our dinners and the need for restaurants to be top rated on TripAdvisor and...this was a lesson in that sometimes listening to the locals is just as important.
Food - we tried almost all the appetizers and were simply amazed with what we got, and we even learned to love fish pâté here. It was one of the highlights of the meal. Next highlight - the squid entree. I don’t normally order squid but I had read it was a Croatian specialty and it was due time I try (since it was our last night) and I’m so happy I did. It was grilled to perfection with garlic and I assume butter, and accompanied with a nice side of vegetables. Highly recommend.
Service - can’t ask for much better service. Our waiter was Peter and he was incredible, giving us food and wine recommendations that were all on point, making sure we had the best table available and truly cared that we had a good experience. Can’t ask for much better.
Ambience - one of the best views of any restaurant we went to in Dubrovnik, right on the water with beautiful views of the city walls and the neighboring Fort. Also for GoT fans it’s overlooking numerous filming locations. It should be noted this is definitely more of a “local” restaurant than I think most visitors of Dubrovnik come across, which I think gives it that special feel. But also may be the single reason it doesn’t have five stars on here.
Overall fantastic experience and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a less touristy restaurant but still superb Croatian food.More
This amazing restaurant does not only have a beautiful view of the Adriatic ocean and the city walls since it’s located right at the shore, outside of Dubrovnik’s old town, but is also a completly breathtaking Croatian culinary experience.
The principles and ideals of its...incredibly friendly people focus on giving their clients the best service, making them feel at home with their warm and cozy attitude and mindset. Maybe the reason for this positive energy is due to the fact that it is a family owned restaurant, and everyone is engaged for its constant improvement.
Of course the food is fresh, absolutely delectable and at a reasonable price.
Orhan is definitely a 10 out of 10, and it will always be a guaranteed excellent choice!More
This place is spectacular. Views are stunning over Blackwater Bay.
The service has been utterly amazing, couldn't do enough for us.
Amazing food, amazing people.
Food was displayed to us to show us what fresh fish they had,
Although we ended up going for the...Steaks and Meat dishes,
Every mouthful was just heaven.
Would recommend this place to EVERYONE visiting dubrovnik
We stumbled on this spot and made it a point to return a couple other times. All we had was a beer in a chair by the waterside as we watched the people. It seemed to be located in an area where GOT fans came...to see sites as numerous walking tours passed by, walking out on the stone pier etc.More
A bit tricky to find but a wonderful scenic location. We sat outside so as to enjoy the view, a local christening party dominated the noise level but still bearable. Pulpo was a bit chewy and not as large a portion as I expected. They...had local calf's liver on the menu but they ran out of it. The sea bass was OK, but it had not been cleaned of bones, only a few but still. Local wines are very good. A bit of a let down but you have to try it once.More
We had just arrived in Dubrovnik and were exploring the area near our apartment and stumbled upon this restaurant in a quiet seaside location. The view can’t be beat and it’s fun to watch all the GOT fans walk by taking photos of the sights....The service was very good and we were brought a fish pate appetizer compliments of the restaurant. The octopus salad we ordered as an appetizer was well prepared. I enjoyed the black risotto with calamari and my husband a grilled meat dish.
Good value and portions. Worth making the effort to find this out of the way restaurant.More
Had sunday lunch here before booking into our rooms. The view across to the city walls is very nice across a little inlet. I had a mixed grill which was very good. The staff were friendly and not pushy. A nice meal.
