We reserved a dinner for two and after hearing the waitres recommendation, went for the agnoloti as starters and after a john dory and beefsteak. It was one of the most tasty stuff we tried lately on our vacations that we ordered them again even tho our main course was on its way. All the food perfectly cooked and served along with profesional service, it really made us feel important and more than welcome. Considering this is a Michelin guide restaurant, the prices are really cheap and would definetly recommend anyone who loves good food at a nice location to enjoy it!

We were strolling through the Old Town of Dubrovnik and ended up in Tavulin accidentally - it just looked nice and friendly. It exceeded our expectations. The food was great, my husband had oysters followed by a sea bass (brancin) grilled to perfection, I enjoyed the delicious pork fillet and our children shared the tasty, but still soft rump steak. The service was first-class and friendly, and the outside seating in the Old Town is very nice. Despite the extra-ordinary quality, the prices are not higher than in the average restaurant in Dubrovnik. A real discovery!

Our last evening in Dubrovnik after 11 days in Croatia, first the country and people we met were great. The country's towns were like going back in time and from Rovinj to Dubrovnik every where was exceptionally and noticeably clean. Our Tour guide recommended Tavulin, and he joined my wife and I for our final meal in Croatia. We ordered Barley and Shrimp, Risotto and John Dory and basically we sampled each others meals and all were delicious. We ate out side with the heat lanterns glowing and very few other due to Covid. Overall a very pleasant evening. The person who waited on us treated us like family and communicated with us as much as we desired.
I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a great meal with great service. To our surprise throughout Croatia all prices were very reasonable.

We were really exciting to visit this restaurant on our last day in Dubrovnik. Unfortunately the whole experience was just wrong... First of all we were waiting around 10-15 minutes for our order to be taken. We ordered starters (oysters, fish soup, salad and filled pasta) and mains. Unfortunately after 47 minutes only fish soup arrived despite other tables coming way after us have been already served and finished their meal. The manager was apologetic but tried to convince us the soup is coming first and then rest of the starters... (???!!!). After 1 hour and 10 minutes we left the restaurant. Don't waste your time going there, plenty of other nice restaurants around and surely will have a great meal.
All in all don't remember my last time leaving restaurant. Very disappointing especially in this hard covid19 times I strongly suggest Tavulin to be honest with their customers and improve customer service.

We randomly chose this restaurant for lunch on our first day of stay in Dubrovnik and were so happy with food and service that we kept having lunch there for the rest of our stay! My husband has celiac disease so the waiter made sure to recommend which food is gluten-free, and there was plenty of choice. All the food that we tasted was excellent and the service was supreme. The waiter was super kind yet professional and not intrusive. We were there with small kids and on another occasion with extended family and every time we felt comfortable and welcome. This simply is a great restaurant!

We enjoyed their home made gnnochi and linguine along with starters, drinks and coffee. The gnnochi was probably the best I've ever eaten including on trips to Italy. Staff are friendly and attentive and you can choose to soak up the atmosphere outside or dine indoors in a more intimate and cosy setting.

The food for the price point was grea for the generally overpriced Dubrovnik. The service was top notch. We got to sit outside by hearing towers and heard the music from a nearby pianist. Nice setting. The shoulder beef blade was tender and tasky. I enjoyed the octopus ragout. A nice change from grilled fish.

Found this place when looking to be seated away from the busy central street. How lucky to pick such a splendid restaurant. The service was particularly good, exceptional attention, food really well presented and help with wine selection was spot on. The food was really good value and they concentrate on doing a smaller menu very well. It was such a pleasant experience we returned for dinner that evening and met another set of very friendly and efficient staff. English language impeccable and clear menu.

This was a recommendation from our host in Dubrovnik, and we went there with high expectations. However we found the tipical tourist trap in the old town city center, with very average and overpriced food and drinks. We ordered a hamburger and the meat was hard and barely edible. It felt like a supermarket prefabricated hamburger meat.
Sorry, Tavulin, but you can do better.

It was a super setting and staff were great but the food or at least the food we ordered was not much better than average.
I ordered muscles which were tiny and not packed with flavour and the other half had chicken and chips which were fine.
On the whole good but not great.

My wife and I had lunch at Bistro Tavulin yesterday and were extremely happy with our meals. The service was great and our waiter spoke excellent English which was very helpful. We both had the butternut squash soup, which was rich, creamy and delicious. I had the pork steak with creamed parsnips and caramelized apples in a delicious cranberry sauce. My wife had the linguine with mushrooms, zucchini and blue cheese. We both thought our meals were superb. I can see why they have been Michelin recommended for 3 years running. My wife said the restrooms were sparkling clean! The menu is not huge but the offerings were varied and the food was delicious. For the quality of food I thought the prices were very reasonable.

We went for a late dinner around 2100 and ordered some soup, grilled calamari, tuna steak and veg linguine. The food was nice, however we didn’t feel it was value for money based on our dining experiences elsewhere in Dubrovnik. Also it felt that the staff were more keen on closing the restaurant than serving the customers.
I would probably skip this place and try others.

We have just eaten this evening at this wonder place . We had past it several times during our stay but decided to give it a go .
We spoke to Dinko he explained the menu to us . We were served promptly too order take given complimentary hummus and bread that tasted Devine .
Eva was the lady who brought our food to us . Very professional and polite also helpful and nothing was too much .
We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal .
Quality of the food was amazing .
We always say quality not quantity wins . Both our dishes were perfectly cooked and presented .
We would highly recommend this place if you are visiting .

Better value than expected in Dubrovnik. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, suggesting special dishes and different types of wine. My husband doesn't do seafood, he had the gnocchi, which he enjoyed. I ordered the special which was grilled squid, potato salad (with sun dried tomatoes and dill) and a green salad. Food was very good. The wine she suggested from Croatia was also nice and light. Highly recommended if you are in Dubrovnik in the old city.

Not the same old Dalmatian fare that so many of Dubrovnik’s restaurants churn out. The lunch specials (120K each) were excellent, a sort of risotto with barley and prawns, and grilled calamari with a kind of potato salad with sun dried tomatoes, both served with a nice salad. The squid ink black risotto (160K). All simply delicious. Bread was the only issue, not good. But overall, a great meal.
