Hidden in the back alleys of the historic Roman Diocletian's Palace, Diocletian's Wine House offers a rustic, traditional yet modern-feeling atmosphere, delicious food and attentive staff. The food is hearty and ambitious, the local wine selection is perhaps not exhaustive but chosen with much care....To top it all, this was my first ever experience with oysters from the Adriatic sea, but it for certain will not be the last. 100% charming.More

This restaurant is right around the corner from the Split City Museum on a less-crowded street than the center of the Old City which makes it a more quiet and serene place to relax. The food focuses on seafood and local dishes. I had cheese...and cold cuts with wine. My wife had a salad of fresh rocket and tomatoes. We both had wine. My red, a locl Plavac Mali (2016) was very good. Good service.More

We booked via trip advisor for the walking tour and wine tasting. It was £45 each. Walking tour was fabulous but the wine tasting we were sat T a small sofa squeezed on with another couple and another lady. You got 3 half glasses of...wine with little tasters of meat and cheese. The sommelier was fabulous and knew so much about the wine but the place was so busy it was hard to hear her. Considering the price it would have been nice to have more to eat as other guests were getting lovely looking platters with all sorts on them. We returned the following day for the Peka which again I had booked brought trip advisor. The menu on the wall stated the peka menu got a Dalmatian platter starter but we were never offered an opportunity to upgrade to this. Our main dishes were just brought out. The octopus looked lovely however the veal was not to my own taste I found it quite fatty. The potatoes and vegetables were lovely. The staff are very helpful.More
