We had a nice Pizza dinner at Galija's. The Pizza tasted fresh and delicious, can highly recommend them. The service on the other hand could really improve in friendliness and a smile wouldn't hurt either.

We loved this pizzeria - the gnocchi was fabulous - really the best we had and the pizza excellent! It's a five minute walk west of the Palace. The staff was very nice and hilarious to watch.

Simple laid back restaurant with super tasty pizza. Quick and friendly service. Only 5 minutes from the major tourist attractions, yet slightly off the beaten tourist path. A must if you are looking for an easy simple lunch with friends and family in Split.

This is one of the old established restaurants in Split, which has been turning out good meals at a good price in the centre of Split. Was with friends this time and had pizza's and pasta meals, which were served quickly and tasty. Washed down...More

I love this small pizzeria from the old city center of Split. Service is good and everyone speaks English. Food is very good, too. I highly recommend a pit stop after the visit to Docletian's Palace and before the shopping spree on Marmontova street.

A short walk from the throngs at Diocletian's Palace, Galija is a popular place mostly with tourists. The food is fine and prices fair. There's a nice covered patio.

It wasn't an outstanding pizza and the wine wasn't great. The beer was fine. Overall it was OK, a middle of the road experience. We shared a pizza so it was not an expensive meal. Value for money was good.

We enjoyed our lunch so much that we actually went back a couple of days later for dinner. If you're in the mood for pizza and/or spaghetti, this is the place to go. When you're inside the restaurant, you can watch the thin crust pizza...More

After stopping originally by another Italian restaurant in the immediate area, where our server actually recommended that we head here for a great pizza, we didn't know what to really expect. We ordered the pasta with truffles, a pepperoni pizza with garlic, and mixed salad...More

The menu is quite diverse. We had different type of pizza and all of them were very tasteful. Local people eat here and this is sign of good price range and quality.

Pizzeria „Galija“ is located in the very centre of the historic part of Split and close to the walls of the Diocletian’s Palace. It is the ideal place to rest and enjoy delicious food, after a long stroll through the meandering streets of the old city. The pizzeria was named after the galley, a ship powered by oarsmen, and used at first mainly as a merchant vessel and later on in maritime battles.

Today, we imagine a different galley – one that is an oasis of peace, relaxation and good food, run by our carefully selected staff who is always there for you. Pizzeria „Galija“ is well known for its cosy and intimate interior inspired by the warmth and golden-glow of a wood-fired oven where the flames haven’t ceased to burn since “Galija” opened its door for the first time.

Our pizzas are made using the original recipe from 1980, that has time after time delighted the taste buds of our customers. The interior is decorated with natural materials, wood and stone. Coupled with details like the antique amphora, the space exudes warmth and rustic charm. The atmosphere is enhanced by the terrace overlooking Split’s historic core.

On the „Galija’s“ menu you will find a succulent selection of pizzas from a wood-fired oven, meat, fish and vegetable dishes, pasta dishes and gnocchi as well as deserts made from well-tried and recognizable recipes.
