Good local food

We had a great meal. Specially the octopus salad was very good romantic restaurant in an old cellar. Quality food for a decent price.

We would have missed this awesome restaurant if not for one of the waiters outside inviting us in. Great food and awesome atmosphere. By far the best place we ate at while in Split!

This restaurant is tucked away on a side street just outside the north gate of the Palace, but well worth finding. It specializes in local Croatian food (meat, fish and pasta) and is very reasonably priced at $75 per couple including wine. We ate outside, but inside the stone walls make it very cosy. Would definitely eat here again.

Got a recommendation from a local about this place and it was awesome. The basement tavern feel is neat and the food is outstanding. I had mushroom risotto that was delicious and my SIG had a wild boar daily special. Amazing, tender meat in a rich stew like broth with amazing potatoes. Highly recommend, even with a few strange things... More

Visited the restaurant on two consecutive nights. Was recommended to us by the owner of the apartment we stayed at and quite close by. The first night I had tomato soup to start with which had rice in it and what appeared to be power which hadn't dissolved properly and had congealed. I ordered the spaghetti Milanese, which was very... More

We found this place after looking at tripadvisor and we were really pleased we did. A quiet place just outside the walls. Very friendly. We had three different types of risotto and we are still arguing over who had the best dish. My squid ink was the best obviously!

We stayed in Split for a few days either end of a holiday travelling around Croatia and ended up spending a couple of nights here. The food was authentic, traditional Croatian cuisine and there were a fair few locals eating there. We had the shrimp risotto, green tagliatelle with seafood, a mixed grill (cooked rare as requested) and some other... More

My boyfriend and I visited here based on the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. You can tell that the staff was really invested in providing a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter was Niksha and he was GREAT! They are attentive but don't hover, giving you time to enjoy the ambience as well as the food. The food... More
